I know this won’t mean anything to you or most other people but I am very very proud of you and how you have overcome the challenges of depression. I am 76 years young and have suffered all my life with this horrible problem. I am also very proud to see that you have gone back to basics and are doing a wonderful job again. Al I'm the mean old lady that been telling you to get back to work. The best thing for depression is to stay busy and keep your hands and mind occupied. Guess how I know this! I waited 2yrs for my disability. I lived with zero income. My meals consisted of oatmeal and cream of wheat. There were times with no electricity or gas but I made through. God Bless you Al.❤

when I lived in rural Ohio, my neighbor couldn’t mow her lawn due to health problems. I had a John Deere riding mower and did her yard . She made the best macaroni salad and we’d cook out. I live in Fl now and my neighbor mows my lawn on his zero radius mower.
It's the only way our country is ever going to come together, we have to care about each other. Way to go Al.

This was far beyond the typical Al Bladez episode. The added value of two samaritans to give unselfishly of their time to help this woman who felt hopeless. The yard was transformed, and then (in an unexpected gesture), Al presented her with cash to assist her further! You will leave a legacy that will outlive any other. Thank you for existing, Al. You give hope where none is available. Shine-on Al, and we will make our world in your light.

I have been that lady. I tried to get lawncare folks to come do my yard and nobody showed up after we agreed on a start date and price. Finally a new neighbor offered to help. God bless him! You can't imagine the relief and gratitude when someone does that for you!

I think this was the boost she needed to feel included in society again. She used to do charity for others, now was the time for her to get some of that back. It is very isolating being sick and being alone. We all need to do more for people around us, but it is really hard to find where to help and how to help.
