Dude! These vids are amazing for team planning. Appriciate the insane time spent to make them. Keep em coming! Nice to see Rose actually coming to use in something. Means i can scroll her in good concience. Did you consider Vinyara at some point? Wrong dmg type, but the ultimate slow, shield on self and tank, buff dispell and atk down seems like it should make her a decent fit. Also, would you say it’s worth scrolling Alton as a dmg dealer replacement for Welby or Tathlyn in the last team? Or would the Hegio team with Rose be better? No Huberg leaves some issues even for low spenders with this one 😂

You need Tathlyn to enable Rally for your Rally heroes if you don't have Lorentheel. I never used alton but I was surprised how close yo Huberg his dmg was! Scrolls are hard to get so I would not like to make that decision for you, usually I stick to epic heroes unless legendary is a must or huge improvement.
BTW you can use Hegio, just manually. When the boss ults you need to ult with him too, then when boss' ult lands he's in the air and won't be hit, but he will hit the boss with ult, you need to jump 2 squares to the side of the boss. I've pulled this trick in S1 on Jatalea and she was only hitting the tank with her ult.
Would it be possible to position two ranged healers as tanks at top right, then let heigo run up from the back, the boss should target the units he can hit more right?

@@alibalogun4646 Hegio should still be in ult range, but again, you can use the jump trick, not sure it will work though because Journ's ult has animation and Jatalea's doesn't. Need to try.

Hi gorax, your content is really good, and it helped me a lot, I'm aiming for 11M, and my question is would Quarion have a higher survival rate than Catherine full skill? I need more time to do damage at the moment I do 7M, thank you very much
Quarion is amazing here as he does not need healing artifact so you can build him with Banner or other defensive artifact boosting his survival rate
how important is Rose in the last team and with which epic do you think it might be replaced? Got sagomir also
Rose is what makes the last team work. You could try 2 healers like Quarion and Gillian/Catherine but I don't think Rose is replaceable
I try to use 2 tanks formation with Sagomir, however for some reason Sagomir does not want to position himself on the side of the boss, like on your video. Starting position of my tanks is the same. I try to use Sagomir and Eurion or Clovis. Seems this formation does not work with philto.
Interesting! Maybe there is a weird interaction on Test Server? I know that the boss have been fixed on Global, but I could re-create the bug sometimes on Test Server. This might be a reason why it was working for me and is not working for anyone else. Anyway - I saw Philto formations with 40M dmg with Philto just tanking through the damage :D
Hi gorax I did the same placement as your sagomir team, but how come the boss's battle skill still hit my champions in the middle?
Something is wrong and one of your heroes must have moved. They should not get hit by it if they are put in the exact same spot.

I noticed you haven't found a single team that reaches 22m without Rose so I thought I would share what I found.
I used : Garius (tank+heal), Gulal (atk down+off tank with his bird), Voresh (secondary heal + buff removal + buf denial), Alvis (rally enabler) and Huberg (main DD) and I reached 24M.
So 1 rare, 3 epcis and 1 legendary. Really average damage gear.
I used witches remains on Voresh and also the hourglass but with Alvis unscrolled so I guess with ok damage gear, no legendary artifact is required for this comp to reach 22M with some tweaking (use the crown and the incense burner instead).

Is it ok to use unscrolled Rose for the last team (best f2p friendly), mate?
There is no harm in trying, i used unscrolled questetia and she works wonders :)

I’m very much lacking on rally units appropriate (got Philto and Thelendor tho) so I need to go Tathlyn and Wellby. I’m not sure who else to put with those two; tank would be Sagomir and healer Quarion. Only other rally ranged I have is Alvis, but he’s really weak. Fifth boss for me, just before the necro one
You could use Philto but you would need to run 2 Tanks... This boss is hard to build for budget Rally without Rose.
Maybe you have Voresh/Catherine etc? You could run 2 supports, or use Hegio but manually cast his ultimate when boss casts his so you can avoid damage
@@Gorax Got no Hegio and Voresh. Two of the few S1 epics I’m missing. Philto will still get hit by the battle skill so I’m not too keen on that.
Because of the compensation I got about 12 currency more than I thought so a 3M team is probably fine, preferably don’t want to waste XP on Alvis but it’s fine.
Rally without Lorentheel is just pretty bad regardless of this boss anyway.

For F2P & low spender, if you use a Tank (i.e. Clovis or Duling), all ranged, and Gulal, then you can use Gulal's vulture to offtank the ultimate. Only your tank and Gulal's vulture will get hit the entire fight. Plus Gulal gives you a attack penalty 2 on his ult.
That sounds amazing, however how long does vulture can last like this?
@@Gorax If you put the tank face on to Journ, when Gulal casts the ultimate on the boss, it spawns the vulture off to the side. So the vulture won't get hit by Journ's battle skill, and it can last from when it's cast by Gulal's ult until Journ's ult. Do you mean Ascilla? She is one of the best tank/healers in the game but Ardreth is also amazing
I did 37M with Philot, Lrentheel, Huberg, Garius, VInyara. Philto dies at 3:00mins, but he outputs 19M damage by then. Everyone dies at 3:40 but we still reach 37M. I am always for going more DPS, than more support for survivability, as the damage is always higher even if you die sooner. When it's a tankier team, and survives longer, the damage is always lower
Well done! That is also a way to play this bosses with max Dmg before death and glad Philto worked for you!
Hegio can avoid all damage actually, as long as you position him behind the boss and you put your tank and your support in the first row to the left!

Wait, it seems it doesn't work. If you place Philto in the middle, then Journ will face towards him no matter what. Like, there are 2 options with 2 targets: 2 tanks or 1 tank and Philto, and Journ chooses to face 1 tank and Philto. 😀 @@Gorax

Shows the ranged dominance in this game. Melee need some different mechanics to be equal… dispel cleanse or default mitigation or just higher damage ceiling to mitigate the trade offs

The P2W team I am surprised does not have vinyara or Voresh (voresh to block debuffs, vinyara to remove them, apply atk down, and drop his ult bar to help offset the ult up from his skill proccing.)
I dont own Vinyara myself so did not try her here, but i heard good things about her against Journ and Alton

I'm trying the exact same placement and Acilia won't go off the the side. She just runs in front of him.
During my Test Server testing Journ was still bugged there - I could re-create the bug that caused him to be disabled in first week, so maybe this is why my heroes behaved the way they did...

You can play Hegio, but Alton is amazing too! I think with Alton you will do 22M easily.

He might work in a 2 tank formation
Clovis has DEF Aura that works anywhere, which might help if you don't have any other.
How to replace Garius ? (Already use for Alton)

@@vincentleroy2490 I can't tell if it's going to work as not only formation matter but artifacts and gear you put on them.
In theory you have a tank with ATK down, 2 healers and 2 damage dealers.
Unscrolled dmg dealers lose a lot of potential - Welby scrolled is way better than Hegio unscrolled for example.

Journ feels like the hardest of them all.
I heard Lossenia is the hardest one so I will try her as the last one :D
The only problem I have with radiance is that only two lego heroes have attack down. Frost has almost no attack down and you need one for both frost and radiance. If you dont have those legos and If you dont have attack down, no way you get past 11 mil on journ. Lol but with poisen and lossenia you atleast have good tanks, good healers, good attack down etc
