I just got this in, I am having a slightly different issue. I have moments where I am indoors and when I aim out of a window or to a bright area it over adjusts for what it's seeing and I will be too bright. It's not horrible but I wish it was like 2 button presses less brightness wise. It seems to over adjust to the high end for me where yours went to the low end. We can lock it to prefer high or low brightness levels. I haven't experimented with that just yet, over all auto adjust is better then what I have seen with other optics. But maybe that is our solution if we decide to press these buttons for multiple 3 second intervals to make it happen. :-)
I watched the confusing Trijicon setting instructions- it does seem like you can “lock it” to the dot brightness setting of your choosing.
