I covered the beginning part of this song with the 60th Roland D-50 Geerdes Volume 1 patch "Machine Run" as the 9th Roland D-50 internal patch at the other night.
It's because of the industrial revolution the planet is now dying ..sounds so apocalyptic especially now during this pandemic ..take care of each other everyone
No soundtreck of zodiac, space, didier marouani and parish france transit, didier marouani and space, electric music, yamo, elektric music, karl bartos, kraftwerk, organisation, moebius and plank, walter wegmuller, xhol caravan, wallenstein, kin ping meh, rumplestiltskin, corporal gander's fire dog brigade, zior, catapilla, gracious, jade warrior, greenslade, uk, jon anderson, jon and vangelis...
I imagine the future listening this song with cars that can fly, with robots that could make our life more easy every day, I never thought of this hostile virus created in laboratory that everybody must take care of themselves. What kind of future is this? take care everyone
just love the industrial revolution. He managed to paint to a picture completely by sound.
nearly 30 years old still sounds as good now as it did then
Oh it's much older than that 1988
I've listened to Jarre, and this albumn since it first came out, and it inspires me just the same now. Thank you Monsenior
One of his best tracks
Harikulade bir müzik
I Used To Listen To This in 1992!
Sounds Great Even Today!
Minute 2:35 un des meilleurs solos de l'histoire des synthetiseurs.
Minute 2:35 one of the best solos in history of synthesizers.
I've always liked the synth solo - it's on the verge of being silly, like Van Halen, but it works.
I know JMJ came first, and the end tune of Second Reality (by Skaven) is a resemblance, but I prefer that to this.
Roland D-50
Dominique Perrier ;)
my dad told me about this masterpiece and i don't regret coming here to hear it by myself. woah, jean michel jarre...such a genius 😲
A MASTERPIECE!!!
The title is a nod to the British Industrial Revolution and this was first performed live in Docklands, London.
The fact he took full advantage of the Roland D50 synthesizer shows how amazing this music piece is even in 2024.
from middle ages to renaiassance to industrial revolution to atomic age to digital age
...and back to stoneage.
I did an ice skating routine to industrial revolution.. The first part :)

Jean Michel Jarre un grand génie !
At the end of this song and the last part of this song, the Roland D-50 PA Decoder Volume 1A patch "Atari 1040 ST 5" was heard.
Nice trivia! Do you know if he used the Atari ST to sequence the track?
Fue...es y sera un REVOLUCIONARIO🦅🎶🎹🎶🎹👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💟
This D50 sound feels like was made for Jarre so he could compose this great piece. One of his last great works.
Téo & Téa
one of greatest JMJ works of all time.
