The game doesn't know whether it wants to have the present be changeable or if things operate based on causality loops. At least in Virtue's Last Reward, which has one of the most complex depictions of time travel and alternate timelines I've ever seen, it *knows* how complicated it is and actually tries explaining how it works
Fun fact: There are apparently _6_ different endings to this game, depending on your overall performance. Wanna know what else exists? *Two additional endings that are unlocked by scoring the others.* ...Yeah. I did research on this.
I am not a fan of anything when time travel is involved because its a very slippery slope, however the only time I accepted time travel was warhammer 40k where someone went back in time to kill himself for a gun he wanted two of, of course his species are so monumentally stupid, a time paradox isn't a thing.

This was the definition of experimenting too much and not having a good foundation. The story was nonsense the characters were just stupid(especially Miriam and Hugo), the use of time travel was excessive, world building was garbage, and so many plot holes and contradictions that it rivals the number of celebrities that went to Epsteins Island. I hope Johnny does a review because this was Dildos.

I consider myself pretty decent at following convoluted stories... by the end of this let's play, this game completely lost me.
