Kind of wild - I'm doing some of Workshop Week, and in the past I've watched some video interviews with Sam. However, the 1st time I heard of YOU was today when I went to my first workshop. Then tonight I went hunting for another Samantha video and when I started this, I recognized your face from Workshop Week! Queue up the Twilight Zone! (honestly, synchronicity is HUGE in my life!) Thank you, ladies! I enjoyed this a lot! (6/8/2021)
I just got my copy of this book in the mail today, yay! Bought not just for her style of drawing/sketching that I admire and wish to emulate ... but dang, I WANT her handwriting/lettering skills too 😍😍😍
I have been intending to get back into collage lately; then I thot I would use a journal, and bought a new one for that. then I tore out lots of pictures and words from magazines. but I have still balked at starting, not knowing just what I really wanted. Now I think I got it! thank you!
I love this episode !! Thanks for all this info now I have an idea how to do this-- I usually do doodling in a sketch book and journaling I do in another notebook but I seem to forget to go back and write now I can do both in the same book :)
Yasss love when you have new stuff. I’m assuming you have a ton of videos waiting to be posted since your new setup isn’t in this video! Thanks again for a great video.
Loved this! I would love to try this type of journaling but never knew quite where to start. Lots of ideas and inspiration from watching today, thank you.
I often have pictures or moments in my head, which i encounter during therapy and which i would like to express. But i don’t have the skills to draw them. They are so complex. Do you have any tips?
What a great video! Thank you soooo much for this! 💓💓💓 If anyone would like to see journals created by someone who is really given to experimentation please visit Christy Soboleswski! I'm not connected with her in any way; but I watch her all the time for freedom of expression on the page. Just saying... 😀 Samantha, thank you so much! You're very talented! 😁
The honesty of SDB is so charismatic and refreshing. She is definitely a great role model for being expressive and being oneself. Beautiful person!
A Draw Your Day journal sounds so cool and Dion Baker is so talented!

Seeing her actually draw a page and talk about how she decided what to draw was really helpful.
Thank you so much for having me, Becca!! Loved talking to you for this interview!
Great interview! Can you share a link to the square black journal you use?
The sketchbook is from Peg & Awl, it’s called the large Orra Portrait sketchbook. I asked Becca to add link to list but you can google!
So beautiful! Thank you Becca and Samantha...very inspiring!
Thank you Becca for introducing Samantha and her beautiful work and ideas. I really enjoyed this and signed up for her class on Skill Share.
Thank you so much for this! I've adored her work so much for a long time. Love her!
I enjoyed taking Samantha's Skillshare class, and recommend it! Both of you have helped me develop a "self care" focus. Many, many thanks!!
I love Samantha’s style of journaling. So much inspiration. Thank you both 😊

Samantha, thank you so much! You're very talented! 😁
please make a video with etsy shop owner SHORTSANDLEMONS how she got success through handlettering.
This a bullet journal - that is how you know what is where. 😔
Lyric St. Germaine nope! This is pretty different from bullet journaling :) I have another guest interview all about bullet journaling though!
I wish I had to time to make my journal pages that elaborate. Too time consuming to me
