Fake news. I just watched a video of Chinese party goers dressed up for Halloween in Guangzhou. There’re like thousands of people celebrating on streets and pubs.
Even South Korea and Japan have "cracked down" on the event this year, with some restaurants and venues banning anyone who dressed up. Not sure if this may prevent the stampede incidents as in past years. They need better events management.
The Police would forbid those dressed in reviling Cos play into public spaces, it was Okay for Cos play conventions But as long they are not Dressed half naked or naked in public.
Halloween is an American cultural event. It seems to be based on their evil foreign policies of imposing sanctions, wars, deaths and human destruction upon those who do not share their "self interests".
I really hate this event so I made a complaint to the police and they told me they actually already received numerous complaints like mine. My reasons are simple: wearing weird scary costumes wondering on the roads scare people like me also a lot of others especially small kids and old people. Blocking the traffic by gathering crowds after crowds blocking the streets roads are not acceptable at all, plus attracting lots more people stop to take pictures. Don't forget the stampede accident in Shanghai and Seoul due to overcrowded which killed more than 100 people. The noise they make when celebrating Halloween is unbearable. The last point is I don't think it's fair to Christians promote their religious beliefs and habits to the public meanwhile other religions aren't, if one could do then all could do similar but I think it's a bad idea to promote one religion stuff and we are not a religious country, shouldn't let religion dominate our society instead we should promote science technology education culture instead of any religious stuff. I understand Western media are trying so hard to indicate something politics or twisted the narratives, but New Year (solar calendar) which is highly celebrate by all of the population in China, according to Western media narrative, this is also Western thing especially considering we have our own lunar calendar new year, we should ban Western new year according to Western media narrative logic, but we didn't. It's nothing about ban Western thing or not.
Crack Down? I just came back from a huge party in Shenzhen. What are you talking about?
Okay, Wumau! We believe you.

It’s just a police for putting order on the street because it gets so busy and so crowded
can't sleep without lying for a day
Duh. Korea's Halloween incident few years back.
Just curious, why western media expect Chinese to celebrate Halloween in a big way? Should Americans celebrate Qingming in NY city?
Excellent point. 👍
It's not western media want. It's we shanghainese want to have fun. Unfortunately the government doesn't want us to.
Chinese 🇨🇳 Xi "the terrible" is a very scary character for Halloween, especially when he's holding Li Keqiang's head. LOL
Both anti China Botty at the same comments section I see 😂
Highly anticipated??? By who?
Well, what a propaganda. It’s claiming that all Halloween goers in China were dressed in Chinese phones and crackers.. ridiculous
WHERE is the crackdown as mentioned in this video title?
Click bait?
They couldn't distinguish if its costume or cosplay or protest.
No one crackdown anything... CIA paranoia gestapo moustache syndrome
- 10000 CIA media points
Halloween and artistic freedom dont mix
what crack down.? Just come back from Shanghai, there were Halloween celebrations every where... wtf
The Police would forbid those dressed in reviling Cos play into public spaces, it was Okay for Cos play conventions But as long they are not Dressed half naked or naked in public.
lol just came back from china, zero crackdowns
There was a halloween crackdown in Shanghai, that is one city in China. Every city in China governs itself.
They don’t care about that 😂
Here's what China's 🇨🇳 leadership fears the most:
- the truth,
- freedom of speech,
- transparency, and
- the international rules-based system.
Well hello hello 😂
International rule based 😂 where does that exist. There is only US ruled or else
放P
How is that working out for your country, hypocrite?
You have certainly fallen for the propaganda by the west
Miss Low had no clue 😂
Halloween is not an official chinese holidy.0
Police-approved costumes? If this where Leonard Leo is leading us? 🤑
Dress up as Joshua Wong
Halloween is not Chinese culture. So to say cracking down on culture is disingenuous.
...so is Marxist-Leninsim.
Halloween is part of world culture now though, regardless of its non-Chinese origin it’s still a crackdown on culture
Chinese culture doesnt exist since its only 70 years old and is banned remember cultural revolution.?????????????

Mf Khloe Chinese is coming? Trying to report me lol, guess “it” ain’t important
I would like to introduce Thanksgiving Day instead of Halloween which is no deep meaning to the society.

It’s the case in Shanghai and Hangzhou as well only , NOT entire China
Shanghai is by any measure the most open city in china
@@sybil3716 and the most crowded obviously.
China should have a total Ban on Halloween since it's not its culture. Halloween is not even a religious event that could be supported by Asian.
If you block the road you'll be asked to leave. Go figure
Boo !
