- Somehow I managed to reach Chinguetti Ancient City in Mauritania from Atar which is the 7th Holiest City in Islam as per Mauritanians and then something very Unexpected Happened with me 😭.

You've got true guts and a real passion for travel. One would shit in pants being stuck in the middle of nowhere (literally) and having zero chance of being located by your Govt. All the risk, only for feeling and getting the experience of travelling unconventional places. Kudos. True passion
That is not guts, it is plain stupidity. When you are traveling to a new or unknown place, you are supposed to research and plan. If you keenly observe his travel vlogs, he is mostly narrating his own troubles rather than focusing on the local area. And this aspect you can see in all of his vlogs!
You really want to know what a true travel vlog should be...then watch "Gabriels Travels". (I hope I have spelled the name correctly as used to watch them almost 2-3 years ago).
@@ram1011 Yep. I agree now. Having watched his first few videos, I also found the pattern. He is mostly putting extreme kind of thumbnails in which he tries level best to sensationalize and crib. Secondly, what put me off is he would mostly put up suggestive kind of thumbnails and captions, specially in respect of local womenfolks. Very creepy & That was repulsive for me and I totally stopped watching and following his videos. This comment was one of the first few vids I watched and hence the comment.

There's a brother and sister duo who hosted him for two days (A village outside Wuhan), driving over 300 kms back and forth, and even dropped him off at the airport. And what did he give them in return? Just a chocolate bar each. What kind of cheap behavior is that?

Why hardcore trip. I'm Mauritanian i lived there all my life there is nothing hardcore there, you drive like whatever you want, you park however you want wherever you want. There is such an unexplainable freedom in there that i love in my country and it make it special and unique. Very hospitable people, i know its a poor country but still the things you find there you can't find them anywhere else. The brotherhood level in this country is incredible when you're eating and you see someone staring at your food you quickly share it with him. The internet there is pretty normal sometimes it can get 100mb/s. No one is starving to death
It takes time to acclimatize with the local culture. Had he given himself some time probably he would have got used to it. Mauritania does have a rich history especially Chinguetti because of its medieval manuscript libraries.

I am so impressed with your true passion for exposing other cultures, their living conditions, and their values . Some of these people have such a big heart, they welcome you in their home and in their heart and love to share what little they have. I salute your adventurous spirit ! I have seen many of your videos and this tour in extreme heat and tough conditions deserves to be praised a lot. To travel in unknown places with language barrier and food constrains requires too much guts. I also admire your historical & geographical information with maps which no other vlogger provides. Your language also depicts that you are an educated, well cultured person.
I am a senior citizen, love travelling and have travelled most of India and many parts of the world. I am planning to travel Vietnam solo next week. I am looking forward for some partner for my future trips in other parts of the world. Currently am in Australia.

@@nothing-jj4pp I spent 9days. Stayed in 3/4 star hotels in Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. Spent 8 Million VND excluding air fare. Visited Halong Bay, Hoi An Lantern Festival and River Delta at Saigon . It was a great experience.

Journey from Atar to Chinguetti was really an adventure via such hot desert area and rockies. Its quiet dangerous in such hot temperature. Was quiet confused to see Chinguetti as an ancient town with only 5000 people or its a town in ruins in midst of Sahara!!!. What a risk you are taking to show us such desert cities with least facilities. How people stay in desert is evident from the vlog.Information about barter system is true. Quiet a daring adventure.
