One interesting thing with the Chun trade thing is that, with Ryu for example, jumping over her might give you time to charge denjin and still punish. I don't think that's possible if you parry it.
@@luckyjc8702 thanks for explaining man, that's a shame, but it's still cool to know, my last idea is if you could setup something like Kim spray can, Blanka doll or maybe jp spike portal or rashid level 2, then purposefully get hit by this, or any super I guess, and then get a combo with the ca, wouldn't even necessarily have to be a trade at that point. I know now I'm getting too whacky with this one, but who knows? We might be on to some desk level stuff here
The first one with Kimberly is as dependent on how far your character's DI moves as it is on the range of your 5f. My personal favorite is Jamie, who just gets hit by the divekick because his DI is comically short range for no reason.
For the kimberly run up di tech, i think the punish doesn't just depend on if you have a broken 5 framer, it also depends on whether you have a lot of forward movement on your DI. Blanka has the longest 5framer in the game in his 5lp and he can't punish here.
I tried just for the hell of it, Jamie can punish Ken fireball after level 1 with *drive rush into ex breakdance leaving him at 2.5 bars of drive meter* Can I get a hell yeah, one more win for Jamie WOOHOO, totally worth it
That trade combo vs chun is really clever, reminded me you can do similar with white health from armour to get to ca as well, pretty sure marisa could use that to get some cool setups especially.
I tried the first trick with Jamie Jamie gets punish countered by the dive kick, as does Manon, and maybe others Edit: Jamie, Manon, Juri, Cammy and Guile, and I don't own Bison or Terry. This was fun
Broski there's a video I recently discovered called dropping combos on purpose by a small creator called Bobtheguy. Great ideas going over different ways to reset for a bunch of characters. Even brought up your match with endingwalker for an example Would be cool if you checked it out and gave us some your own ideas on it.
Very informative, thank you for this. I dislike kimberly a fair amount, actually did the DI tech on that run follow up in a match by chance but didn't follow up accordingly cause i didn't know what the end result was gonna be lol. Knowing fireball after level 1 super for Ken is fake too is handy tech as well. Cheers Broski.
For the last one, I like to weigh up the opponent's meter gain too. Rashid is a character that gets more utility out of more meter, so helping them build level 2 could sometimes be detrimental. In situations like this I do think about that, for instance making sure my opponent doesn't start the next round with a level 3 or strong level 2 and if I already have 3 bars then yeah I'm not doing the throw cause that still builds them more meter than just the straight high damaging normals.
Imo the chun tech is useful because the comparison made isn’t very fair cause they start from different spots whether that be a jump in or hold back so if you are going for a read on a tech or something like that and jump but they lvl 3 that’s def optimal. Also if you jump after lvl 1 is activated you will get caught so it’s not even applicable as optimal if you shimmy
I have a funny story with the Chun one. She was who I played on release, I won my Diamond promotion match, because a Deejay (pretty sure) did DI, got clipped by the back hit box, and burned out.
You should make this an ongoing series of scraping the bottom of the barrel. These may not be widely useable or practical, but extra points for wackiness
Another thing to be careful about with the DI vs Kim's Arc Step - she's only -3 if she starts that string with 2HP so you can't punish her. Common scenario is DR~2MK, frame trap to 2HP xx Sprint
So what I'm hearing you are say is, if Chun Li wakes up with level 2, it is optimal to lets go Justin parry the super and build meter off of the scaled punish.
So you intentionally used rashid as an opponent in the last example, but you don’t mention how as you are building all that meter you are also giving rashid a similar amount of meter build. You were in an advantageous position to begin where rashid wasted a level 1 setting him back further from his level 2, and it’s much better for you and rashid to both not have meter than you having slightly more meter than him but he can guarantee build level 2 the next round
Im not a kimberly main but isnt it odd that DI is somewhat of an answer to all her options out of her run up move, I feel like it kinda defeates the purpose of her having options from the run up move
The low scaling combo to build meter for the next round is very big brain
Broski video released, a good start to my morning

Doesn't work, you get hit by the super if you try to charge
Any way you could maybe jump back, charge, then still get the trade?
@remylebeau34 The only way to trade is if you jump over Chun and land behind her,
so jump back is already a completely different situation than this.

Yeah I think a few characters will miss with Di here

That's awesome man nice find 👍
I’ll drink to that 🍻
that one friend thats too optimal
Alternative video title.
Combos that make Desk proud.
Niche tech video with Kimberly on screen.
"Oh boy, some Kim tech I get to learn" - me, a Kimberly player
Looks inside, actually anti Kim tech.
Worrying amount of anti Kim tech in videos 😂
Good stuff broski, always appreciate tech

This was fun
Im guessing bison and terry will still hit the Di since they have huge range
Cheers for giving us that list BTW 👍

The ole American reset
10:35 I am the dropped combo police, you're under arrest

Ken is broken
broKEN
The streets got to him
Best version of Ken in SF history.
@@zackswitch9656 my joke, stolen before my eyes like that Daigon parry 😔
Booo
Thx for the techs and for using Ryu in some examples it saves me so much lab time 😅

The kim shi actually super useful with the new patch

Scraping the bottom of the barrel huh? I'll expect the Marvel Rivals video next

I thought you were bout to talk about down back punch into medium punch being able to avoid di for chun li but idk if they patched tat or not
Broski upload, yippie!
I feel less salty about having lost to that corner Kikosho stuff now
Chun's SA 1 is one of the Street Fighter 6 moves of all time.
Why u did kimberly dirty like that?
Punk has been warned

man this game is so cool
So the answer is to play Ken?
We cant tell capcom about this secret tech
10:35 great combo! kinda
Thanks 🎉
Of course ken have it... would not be broken character then
Desk combos
pretty sick

She can do runstop to bait something like this
@sshuckle oh yeah thats right, the starting animation of her run up move kinda looks the same as her command dash, so you can mix people up that way
awesome
Smh not an optimal Ryu combo
Bruh play against lvl 8 lily and you’ll realize the reach on her command grab is stupid lol
Time stamps ...
Damn the Ken Crying is still in full force i see. Guess i still cant play him yet
hey, stop showing anti-kim tech thanks :)
First for the first time ever 😂
