Home Frees' performances run the spectrum from silly and light hearted, to romantic, to somber and serious to magnificent, grand offerings. To me, this is an art piece that showcases their technical musical skills. It really highlights how accomplished they are as musicians. It's always lovely to hear a reaction from someone who appreciates their artistry.

Their rendition of “End of the Road” is a must. Rob’s lead is astounding, Then for a Chance lead, “I Can’t Outrun You”; it’s more 5 part harmony, and hauntingly beautiful.

Normally I'd agree with you on production/post-production...but I've heard them do this live...off mic even (!)... and it sounded the same. 😳🎶❤ Trust me, these guys don't need any help or tricks. 👍

The production comment was more of the modern day being able to capture more of the rangeand being able to capture all the subtleties better than older recordings than implying that they are being helped by it and processed. CSN didn't have the luxury of some of the advantages and better mastering although their recordings still sound great.

I grew up listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash & had their album with this song Helplessly Hoping. Absolutely loved them & their harmonies. This song is full of alliterations. Home Free more than does justice to all the songs they cover. And this song is perfection to me with the 5 part harmonies. I can't say enough about how great these guys are & humble while still staying respectful to the original song.

If you do arranging you should check out their version of Do You Hear What I Hear. Adam arranged it and it's PHENOMENAL!!! I never like that song until I heard their version. Now I listen to it at least once a week and I don't care that it's supposed to be a Christmas song. Home Free is the most talented group out there and the BEST in the business because not only are they so talented but unlike other groups they do all genres. You want to hear harmonies check out their version of How Great Thou Art. BTW I just subscribed so keep the HF coming.

They are not only everything penny garrity says, they are kind, considerate, humble and funny! They are 💯 an awesome group of guys!! I'm getting ready to subscribe to see what other HF songs you do. I don't listen to any other groups. I'm 68 and I have heard almost all there is worth listening🎧to. I thought I out grew listening to music. I had become a fan of talk radio until I heard Home Free. I love this group and I like to listen to people react to them. They are awesome in concert too!! I would love to see them again in concert if my husband's and my health will allow it. Thank you for reacting to Home Free. All us Home Fries appreciate it very much!♥ As for Tim singing Happy Birthday, believe me HE CAN! Listen to his album that is all him (every part) and it is completely a cappella. The album is "Pieces Of Me" by Tim Foust. Listen to "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay. Here's a link to that song, th-cam.com/video/8bN9bgwR0DI/w-d-xo.html

@@cricketandbuddy Hey Cricket. I'm 65 and this is my favorite group to listen to. I'm on an extremely tight fixed budget but I'm trying to save a little each month so that if they come anywhere close to here on their next tour I can go even if I have to walk there since I don't drive. lol I keep hoping they'll come to what used to be called Deer Creek (I can't pronounce the new name) but usually when they're here they're at one corner of the state or another. Hope you and your hubby get the chance to see them in concert

I enjoyed your reaction. Yes, there are other a cappella groups out there and, yes, I have listened to them. However, I think Home Free is the best you can get. Their musicianship, their arrangements, their faithfulness to the original, their innovations, the range of their voices, I could go on for another three lines. What is most beautiful for me, as a fan, is their respect for their fans; they are kind and generous with their time. Almost did it again. The list of good is long. They can give you chills with their harmonies and make you laugh with their silliness, sometimes both at the same time.
If he hasn't already done so, Shoky (It Doesn't Have to Make Sense) should react to you.

There are lots of live concert videos (taken by audience members) as well. The video "Home Free Kearny" is just amazing. A concert had been cancelled due to a thunderstorm and a bunch of the audience had taken shelter from it. Rather than disappoint them, Home Free walked through the rain, stood on a picnic bench and (without amps, mics, etc.) accompanied by thunder, lightning and flickering lights sang "How Great Thou Art". It's amazing.

When me and my wife listened to this rendition on the release day of the video we were just stunned! It's absolutely breathtaking! Home Free is our favourite music group and living in Sweden, we are lucky to have watched Home Free twice live! We even got to talk to the guys and ask some questions as we bought V.I.P. tickets the first time they went to Sweden four years ago this very day! We just had too see the guys backstage! They are so outstanding both as human beings and as musicians and singers! If you get an opportunity, go watch them live! You will never regret it!

I noticed that Austin disappeared from the frame when they talked about "the empty place inside." I love how they sneak little things into some of their videos like that.

Beautiful reaction! Really enjoy listening to your voice. Can't wait for your reaction to Home Free's cover of Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" and "American Pie" with the original singer/song writer Mr. Don McLean. Mr. McLean contacted Home Free to record his 50th Anniversary release of his iconic song with him. It's beautiful! Home Free's covers pay homage to the originals while adding a Home Free tweak that never sullies the original.

Oh it’s one of my favorites. It’s stunning. It’s Chance’s baby. (He was the first singer). He filmed it and arranged it I believe. Loved it and they’re such good singers that it’s powerful. Loved Tim’s low notes. Yeah I agree….my only complaint is that it’s too short. Other powerful songs they do is Brothers in Arms, I Can’t Outrun You (both of those have lots of bass). Take Me Home Country Road, Folsom Prison Blues, What We Ain’t Got. Just a sampling. Love Home Free. Good reaction Ken.😍

Love this song. And really enjoy your reactions. It's nice to hear from someone who has musical knowledge! Another world class acapella group you'd enjoy is Voice Play. They make the third leg of the world class acapella trifecta, with Home Free and PTX. Their style is different, and they vary genres, but do all of them fantastically. Favorites are: Warriors, Carry On Wayward Son, Hoist the Colours, Superstition, My Mother Told Me. They just released a stunning version of I Can't Make You Love Me. They do Disney, musical theater, rock, pop... you name it, they can do it.

New sub here! This is one of my favorite covers from Home Free! They are masters in their class! I was thinking about another great cover while watching you react to this one, but I see someone already suggested “Brothers In Arms”. Consider this a second motion for it, as well as two other covers of theirs: “One Man Band”, and “The Driver”. They do write some originals. Their Dive Bar Saints Album is 10 originals, 2 covers. The title track is a good place to start. I always enjoy musicians’ reactions because they seem to give a more in depth review and appreciate their talent more. Looking forward to more Home Free reactions.
