    what i like about your videos is that you really add all the extra details that ppl want when watching packing videos, i watch so many and its frustrating that they don't show properly how they are packed/ what fit inside the cubes and the little extras they took. as a visual person i need all the details lol when looking at a new bag or travel gear i always come to your channel to see if you've reviewed them :) this bag isn't my style but i really enjoyed the video nevertheless

    Great info on making one-bag air travel deals work in our favor. Your video proactively reduces stress by decluttering our thoughts and showing what truly important things to pack. The packable backpack is an excellent suggestion & really makes carrying essentials (water/snacks/phone/charger, etc.) far more comfortable during walking or day trips. Loved seeing the AirFly Pro again, it is an absolute MUST for any traveler. 👍🛫🛄 -Alex@Vanquest

      @@jeffone I like that bag. I think that size shifts from travel backpack to what I'd probably call a "boarding bag." Not something I've looked much into, I have a few reviews of that style, but mostly they're over on the depth. I'm going to have to do more research.

    There is no real difference in the amount of stuff a guy needs for one day, or one week, or one month - if he dresses casual only. Volume goes up when travelling across different climate zones, or when he takes multiple shoes and informal/semi-formal/formal outfits. And for ladies when they start taking multiple shoes and purses, plus their extended toiletry usually does not pass carry-on restrictions.

      I have The North Face First Dawn packable rain jacket. I believe it’s discontinued but there are still some out there.
      It’s definitely waterproof and not water resistant which is great and packs down very small into its one pocket that is on the back. I’d say it packs down to the size of an apple. It’s my just in case rain layer for travel. I think it’s somewhere around 6oz where the typically daily rain jacket is closer to 12oz.

    This is why I love one bag travel. It doesn't matter if you choose duffels or backpacks or convertibles once you get used to only bringing capsule wardrobe items and only necessary toiletries, opt change of shoes Etc it is then easy to adjust between a one bag 40 litre and a one bag personal item.
    I still cringe when I see hardside wheeled luggage headed for a hotel or airport as to me that's a scenario in one of Dante's rings of hell.
    I looked into the Clippa as I was looking for a more minimalist bag clip but at the same price even though the design is more streamlined I'll stick with my large and small hero clips as I do the job (but sometimes make me look like I'm going to go rappelling!)

      @@OneBagTravels I once had an argument with a low-cost American airline staff member. They just didn't know their own rules, or I wonder if its on top of them and something they have to simply respect as bags may have different form factors and still the same volume. They had to go and ask to then come back and apologize. Interesting topic for another video on bag sizes on the edge of going from personal item to carry-on if they got checked by airline staff. I have been getting away with 33-40L bags for years now, in both Spirit and Frontier, as well as international low-cost airlines such as Wingo and Latam. Not a single time I paid an extra fee.

    • @OneBagTravels
      @OneBagTravels  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@exergyone7164 Interesting, I think you found a loophole! I read their policy and in addition to their standard carry-on restrictions it says "Soft-sided garment bags up to 51 inches / 130 cm (length + width + height) can also be taken as your carry-on item." so maybe if you had a soft-sided backpack they had to consider this a "soft-sided garment bag?" I've had the same experience with a lot of low-cost airlines, I try to stay within the limits but sometimes I go over a little and have never been called out on it, however I would just consider myself lucky because I've seen people have to pay the extra fees.

    • @exergyone7164
      @exergyone7164 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OneBagTravels Most bags are soft at some level, with few exceptions. I've had to actually let it escalate, play with the emotions of the staff member trying to squeeze a fee off my pocket, and eventually walk out victorious. This is very rare, but has happened twice. For women this type of emotional games are much more difficult to play, reason why I would always recommend to a woman a bag like the Topo Global Bag 30L, the Tortuga Travel Bag 30L (though I hate it that is has the side handle on the wrong side reason why I quit Tortuga), or the Cotopaxi Allpa 28 L. Those will just slide into the box while taking advantage of the maximum capacity permitted, and no further back and forth will be required. Articulate unemotional men carrying an effective system that can be tweaked in seconds will get away with 35+ L bags as personal items 99.99% of the time.
