This is absolutely breathtaking Charles. I will buy the music sheet, I want to play this beautiful arrangement too. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us. May God bless you.
@@CharlesSzczepanek Practice is going pretty well! This piece is an absolute joy to play on my beautiful piano. I wish I would be able to play it as easily as you do, but... I will need more arpeggio practices!! Keep up the good work Charles, you're an inspiration :)
@@marc-andre6804 thank you! I’m glad the practice is going well. Always feel free to reach out with any questions about it! And you should upload a video of your playing when it’s ready to go!!
Oh wow....just wow! Yes please, I'll take more of this.... One of my favorite pieces, from one of my favorite cinematic composers, interpreted from one of my favorite pianists. This is just beautiful...and it's perfection cannot be overstated. Well-done Charles!
Thank you, Jared!! I'm glad you enjoyed! Would you mind sharing some of your other favorite Morricone music? I may add some more arrangements in the coming months!
Masterfully played! 😄 I’ve gone through most of the covers on YT and couldn’t find one that really captured the spirit, depth and beauty of this piece. You did it exactly! I want to learn to play this song, just to do a couple sections just a little bit my way. Very inspiring 👏🕊🙌
Hi Charles. Your piece is beautifully arranged and presented. I too discovered this song in the Ennio Morricone album played by Yo-Yo Ma. My favourites were this song and Cinema Paradiso. Thank you.
Thank you, Joel! Your comments here are always very appreciated! I connected with Kevin Stock here in the Springs... a somewhat local tech. He was out a few weeks ago to tune. Still please keep in touch about when/if you travel back here!
Incredible version. This is so well done! Subscribed. Seriously best I have seen on You Tube of this piece! Can't believe how little views it has. Baffling.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed this. Haha, the YT algorithm is baffling... at least to me is it. Thanks for searching, finding, and clicking on this despite the low views! I know that the view count alone sometimes determines what people think the quality will be.
May I please make a request? Please please can you play Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone? I love love that song, one of the best love songs in the world imho. I even watched the Italian movie without the English and understood the incredible love story. I would be ever so grateful! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤you could be another Ennio in your own unique sort of way! Thanks for considering 😊
This is the most beautiful arrangement of this piece I have ever heard. I love your harmonies and inner melodies. I’m guessing you are a Rachmaninov lover as I am? :) And this was so exquisitely performed as well. You play with such precision and depth of emotion. You look to have very large hands. Just curious what your reach is?
Thank you, Daniel! Yes, love Rachmaninov. In fact, my arrangement of Be Still, My Soul was heavily inspired by bits of his 2nd piano concerto. Considering how big his hands were, mine are pretty “normal” I’d say haha. I have a tenth in both, and can add one to two inner notes depending on the shape. But, I can’t reach a black to white key tenth without rolling, only white to white and white to black!
Hey Zach! I definitely remember! Cool that you found the channel here haha. How have you been? I thought we'd for sure be Facebook friends but I can't seem to find you!
@@zbramble That's awesome! Do you have any plans for once you are finished? I've really been enjoying all of the composing and arranging I've been up to. Have plans to dive into some orchestral stuff soon!
@@CharlesSzczepanek Well yes! I’ve incorporated the Music & Arts Conservatory of the Southwest and have a small body of students but I’d love to actually have a private institution where students can come to study just music and art! And also fill it with good teachers! So cool what you are doing!! Keep me posted on your orchestra works! You should try writing yourself a tone poem or a little serenade for one of the orchestral choirs. I always enjoy the intimate nature of those particular styles and their ensembles.
@@zbramble That's awesome! Are you teaching mainly composition? Or a variety of things? Thanks for the suggestions! We will see where the orchestral writing goes. I might post it here on TH-cam, I started stockpiling sample libraries about 2 years ago, so they'd be midi mock-ups... no real players unless something crazy would happen!
@@federicoboyer1633 haha I’ll take that as a compliment! It seems that The Falls isn’t presented on its own very often. The original is only about 1:45 long and the melody itself is a rather simple statement of one bar that repeats over different chord changes during that time. It’s a beautiful piece of music, but I think the simplicity of it means that it needs some support from something else… either the visual it was originally written for, or more music… which is why I think you find it played alongside Gabriel’s Oboe so often when there isn’t a visual.
