  • It's been 100 years since renegade artist Rockwell Kent came to Fox Island, in Resurrection Bay off the coast of Seward, Alaska. He came here, to a place where nature reigns, on a quest for artistic inspiration and solitude, and to escape the intense personal and professional demands of city life.
It’s that same need to retreat that brought a weary Landon Schoenefeld, former chef at Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge, to Fox Island in 2017 and 2018. For him, Fox Island is also a place to be quiet. To listen to the birds, the sounds of the waves rolling in and out, an eagle calling high above. Tuning into the sounds of nature and finding a place to be still are key for a quiet adventure.
Meet them both in this short film, Quiet Adventure.
