- Mike and our Swedish helpers Carl & Jacob took a quick trip to Northern Virginia to look at a 1940 Ford Tudor. We we offered the car after the highest bidder showed up and offered a 1/3 of his original bid. The car needed to be removed from the property by the weekend and the estate offered us the car!

It's hard to believe that in 2023 that this car survived intact and near perfect original, incredible.
Wow. Already in better shape than the "Forgotten '39" sedan! This one is too nice to do much more than bring it back to factory specs!
I'll always love the '40 Ford. Beautiful lines and that simple art-deco dash is so nice.

What memories this stirs up! The 40-41 Fords were the most desirable back in my early teens.
Very nice , love these 40's . My oldest brother had a 40 coupe and he let me learn to drive in it and I was hooked . He let me drive it in high school and I was top dog in automotive shop . I was suppose to have gotten it when I graduated , but Uncle Sam had other plans in 1968 . When I came home the 40 was gone and my brother had moved to California, bummer lol . To this day the 40 is my favorite. Thanks for the memories.

As an owner of '40 Ford Tudor DeLuxe for the last 32 years I couldn't ask for a better car to drive to the many Car Shows across the Country...! Congradulations on your beautiful find.

I restored a 40 Ford Sedan and put a Mustang 5.0 L in it. Tuxedo black with lipstick red interior. Something always needs a little work, but it’s eye candy!
What a cool car there can't be that many cars that clean still around.
Had a chance to buy a 40 Tudor sdn. in 1967 for 150 dollars(minus the Mercury flat-head mill). Mom would'nt permit me to buy"that old jalopy".

Growing up, we had a 1940 tudor in our barn with long-running dreams to restore it... only to lose it when said barn caught fire and burned to the ground. This video is giving me all the childhood feelz.
WOW, what a nice old forty!!! That is one of a few old Fords that I would probably keep the body stock with only a hot flathead as a modification! Great find guys!

What a beauty. Perfect model also for weekend long road trips! Unfortunately, out here in Oregon most of these are rusted out but this model has always been a bit of a dream car to explore the rural areas of my area and enjoy the smaller roads.
What a sweet ride. That car is in excellent condition. Wow..!!! It even has the extra accessory wing tips on the bumper... It is a real treat to see these old road warriors in such good original condition...

Nice! I Wonder if this was my Dad's best friend's car....my Dad painted it in the 50's..he stripped it and was ready to paint and the shop owner told him to go home.....Dad told him it was going to rust if he left it bare metal overnight..he said go home....he came in the next morning and it had a orange haze on it...rust....he painted it and shortly thereafter the paint started peeling off....the owner got pissed and parked it and never drove it again....he passed away in 2015.
...I bought a Tudor DLX from S. Dakota; Original paint, interior, windows, running boards, everything. No rust at all. Swapped the old engine (still have it) for a 296 cu in Flathead with 3 strombergs. Drives great. The clock even worked. so YES! they are still out there.

I can picture traveling back to the 30/40s seeing these old girls on the road, no major congestion, cheap fuel, cruising would have never been so good. It's a shame you are going to flip it, would be an amazing car to keep

Brings back Memories. 12:18 12:19 At age 19-21 I had a cherry 40 Ford Coupe withh Indy tires on the rear and craiger mags in the front. My other car at the time was a 66 Riveria. wish I still had then both.

I have a hotwheels version of this car. It’s technically a 39’ ford because the headlights are a tad different but yeah. The casting came out in 1982 I think.

I would love to drive it, my 40 has a Chevy 283, 3 speed in the floor with a GM rear end. It wallows a bit on the road but I am running bias ply wide whitewalls. Mine looks stock and I like that, even has single exhaust.
