IS250 is a very lovely car that strikes a very good balance between styling, comfort, power, reliability and very low maintenance costs. Really loved it as i drove one for 6.5yrs and the car clocked 280+k km in 10yrs without any major engine or transmission issues, just the usual wear and tear.... enjoy your ride for years to come.
yes i like the overall package of the car despite a bit of a let down on the driving department, but it's really enjoyable just cruising around especially around town and hearing that v6 notes around 4k rpm 😊

In fact I switched to Lexus IS from a Golf GTi about 6 years ago. I decided to tone myself down from all the fast cars which I had before ( Alfa 156 Sportswagon, Golf 4 Gti & Golf 5 Gti).
I have no regret and I'm still enjoying my IS very much. It is a very solid, very reliable and comfortable car.
Just wanted to comment to your observation which you had mentioned in your video, the right side of the boot compartment is hotter than the left side. This is because the power amplifier is located at the right side, if you remove the plastic cover you will find the power amplifier. It's perfectly normal.

Hi, just got a 2007 Mark X 250G Japan import, is it normal that it is kind of hesitate to go from 1st gear to 2nd? But it feels fine at high speed, 😢

For the door panels and dashboard that has the soft touch rubber that has turned sticky, you can have them rewrapped with leather that has the same texture and you wont be able to tell the difference.
yup definitely will be doing it once wallet recovered 🤣
Oh, also the seats of IS250 are wrapped with Nappa leather, one of the best and softest leather and WAY BETTER quality than Artico found in Merc and Dakota in BMW. Every single comment that I got about the seats were that it is super nice and soft and they still looked new after 10yrs, unlike Dakota which looked very aged in my friend's 10yr old BMW.

There are actually 2 cup holders on the center aisle. First is the obvious holder between the gear and armrest. Second is in the armrest which you commented it is cold. Try placing a can of soda drink or beer for your outstation drive. (I am not sure whether you still have the semi-circle, removable bracket in the armrest compartment) 😉

HP tan,i bought this Baby brand new from lexus malaysia on 2011.Highest spec with Mark levinson + touch screen.but yet still no bluetooth connectivity for music. the Bluetooth its only for phone call.
Ahhhhh i see 🤣🤣 then i feel more balanced now haha but a bluetooth music player is just awesome
If you want Bluetooth audio music have to go modify a aftermarket screen into it.

on year 4-5 headlamps not working
change 2 xenon bulbs
on year 6 stock absorber leaking
change to Titan Absorber.
on year 7 Radiator breakdown.

not at all :) more or less the same, depends on your preferred service centre mine can easily do the same cost :)
@@mostunimportantman yeah I agree, the maintenance/repair costs are almost the same as Toyota and what i love the most is the reliability of the car. I can't stand having to send the car in to workshop all the time for repairs, which unfortunately my continental car owner friends had to do all the time... Hahaha...

tnga 算是近期toyota的一个蛮大的effort 想要摆脱那种好像开uncle车的feeling的一个一体化汽车平台, 驾驶感会有更运动化的感觉, 可以媲美欧洲车的一个平台
所以像 IS 这种款高性能的，本来就很运动很结实。新款的 Corolla 虽说是tnga 但其实也没有比 IS 好？
Haha IS 并没有很结实或很运动啦 毕竟10年前的平台一定不如TNGA来的更好玩 但是这lexus是后轮驱动的关系 所以算是一个很ok的all rounder啦 哈哈

Hahaha.. Yes this I have to agree, the original brakes are lacking in stopping power so an upgrade is necessary. An upgrade to a GS300 original brake will suffice and best of all, it is plug and play without having to use additional bracket unlike if you were to go with other BBK brand...
