      I've been looking at this lately considering whether to get it, and I've seen a few comments about the kick of suspension. I know of the RX, but for me, the frame changes the styling too much from the cafe racer look for me. If they replaced the two rear frame struts that go from the rear wheel to the seat to shocks/springs, it would actually look closer to the Cafe racer look they're going for. Plus add a little extra comfort!

    I just had a few questions: What's your top speed on level ground, roughly how much do you weigh, and driving in unlimited mode, what kind of range do you get? I would love an emoped that could do 35-40mph and get at least 40 miles of range, but from what I understand the battery tech isn't quite there yet.

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Level ground on a full charge with a 200lb rider is 31mph. As the charge goes down the speed will as well. Range says is 37 but it’s actually 31 on level 4 and throttle only. Going up steep hills take out 2 miles for every mile you go up. Hope that helps Drew!

    Has the speed been impacted at all? Do you see your bike a little slower than it was? I have 70miles on mine and it’s great. Although I do have misaligned rotors, so I need to take that to a shop or try to fix it myself.

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really Good Question. No, It hasn't slowed down the speed of the bike (actually sometimes it goes 1 mile faster). Charges the same, rides the same... so far!
      The same thing happened to me with the rotors. I took it to a shop to get the pads changed and the rotors aligned with the brakes. Don't worry, it happens to all of us. Cheers!

      Oh, that's interesting! What is the distance between the two borders? It goes over potholes just fine but; I would say to be completely honest, my back hates me when I go over potholes haha. You feel every single one in the back of the bike. They have the R and the RX with back suspension and I hear it's nice when you go over bumps. The terrains... it goes mostly over all terrains. The problem is don't trust the tires too much if you are going fast around a (sandy) curve.. you might fall. Hope that helps!

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s to make the fork be more stiff or more bouncy. I have it right in the middle. The fork suspension is good for when you break really hard, the fork will take all the weight and momentum. If it were stiff you could flip over the bike if you break too suddenly. Also good for going over bumps

  • @999fingered
    @999fingered 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks for the info. Those brakes are way to weak for the bike! Have you looked into downhill mountain bike brake parts? Also, for better performance a better fork ( stronger) would be nice. • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are right. The breaks could be better but they actually pretty good for what they are. The bike is heavy and these type of breaks wear out fast with the weight of the bike. I have gone up steep hills. I recommend you watching my video on the Hollywood hills where I go up the super steep hills. No dirt hills but it performs well on dry dirt. Thank you for watching!

    Do you think a bike like this would be good for a city like Seattle? I’m moving there in a few months. While I won’t live directly in the heart of the city, I’ll be working there. From what I hear, lots of people commute to work on bike in Seattle. A Super 73 E Bike sounds perfect, and in my opinion are the best looking E Bikes out there. I just worry about the rainy weather ruining the battery.

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a good idea to get an ebike for a bike friendly city. If you get a SUPER73 they all come with V3 motors which are really resistant to the weather. I do worry about rain in the battery... BUT if you put a plastic wrap/cover around the battery it should be just fine. Avoid big puddles and try to ride when it’s not raining. I commute to work and explore LA with my bike and I really love it. It’s a totally game changer.

    • @thepeterparkershow
      @thepeterparkershow  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Depending on how much you ride it, it is totally possible for it to last 10 years. The battery on the other hand might last 4 to 5 years if you take good care of it. That’s 800$ for a new battery. Changing breaks pads every 6 to 8 months. Making sure the tires are not bold. Small little things breaking that are not covered by warranty. Probably about 75$ to 150$ per year. Unless you need a new motor/console/battery.

    Hi Peter:
    1) A Super 73 costs USD 3'500,-,4'000,- or more. Take a bicycle, take best motor and best battery, you get around with the same or higher speed and power and you pay much less. The Super 73 is way overpriced for what it is. One pays only for the look. The parts are nothing special. Just China parts.
    Compared with the level and quality of for example a Japanese real motorcycle like Kawasaki, Honda and so on, Super 73 is nothing. It's just cheap. A Super 73 can be produced for only some hundred dollars.
    2) A bike that weighs over 80 pounds is way too heavy.
    3) The spare parts and accessories are way overpriced too.
    4) 1'000 miles are nothing for an e-bike, bicycle and vehicle in general. If it makes 100'000 miles, it's good. But it will not make 100'000 miles. It will have many issues and parts (including motors) replaced.
    5) There are sprays against braking noise.
