Ah really depends mate, it's balanced quite well that most squads are viable. More so in the mod, but default it's quite similar. Also there are generally better squads for each nation. I like marines and rangers, the main reason is the recoiless for the rangers. Assaultsquads aren't very good for USA because they don't really have any good smg's in the squad. Regular squads are alot better because of the m1 garand. etc Japan , Conscripts : Very good, they have 50 more HP then any other nation SUPER bargain. Assault squad ; good SMG i like this squad Regular squad : OK, if you need a mg, nothing special.
Just to add to this, it also depends on your play style. The mass of lower tier troops will need less micro and suite in certain situations. Numbers can also force the enemy to prone more. Also they are obviosly less expensive and can be used more as fodder. On the toher hadn more elite tier troops are more capable and the best bonus is they come with AT usually. If they don't they are still good as they can take out lower tier and hold points better. The only thing you have to be careful of is infantry killers like the 20mm. If you can prevent the enemy getting it or defend against it the higher tier troops are generally better. My personal opinion is lower tier for most things , then elite tier if i am comfortable i am not going to waste them against infantry killers. I'm not the best micro player and don't split my troops to well.. so there's a bit of margin of error with the lower cheaper troops for me.

ahh vehicles in competitive hardly last 3 minutes :) . But nothing magic to it. Some tanks survive anything, but sometimes they aren't worth the buy. Like ofcourse there's tanks like the tiger that can withstand alot of hits. Generally.. 1.Counters : it's basically knowing your tank and what it can counter and what counters it. 2. Angle : Know the best way to angle your armor. In general most tanks you show your front but angle slightly. But for those tanks with great side armor like a tiger you can extreme angle at 41 degrees.. Also some tanks have stronger turrets..so try use terrain to expose only turret etc.. 2. Timings : know what the enemy can afford and you will know what is coming. 3. .Get into 50/50 Plays : Use buildings and terrain to get into a position to kill bigger tanks at closer range. Most tanks can kill more powerful tanks if in closer range. You may have a better chance even as the lighter the gun the faster reload and accurate.
yeah i know, was a mistake. I thought I could sit the churchill in the middle of the map take out everything, then sit a infantry killer with it and hold 2 flags.. I had no idea the na to could penetrate it. I was suprised.
