If you're new here, my name is Andrew Huang and I'm a musician who works with many genres and many instruments - and I've also made music with many things that aren't instruments like balloons, pants, water, and dentist equipment. For more info visit my website: andrewhuang.com
You can also stream and download my 40+ albums and EPs at andrewhuang.ban... or check out my other videos at / andrewhuang
Thanks for watching today and a big hug to you if you share this video with someone!
Dear christ those are not sounds you’re supposed to get out of an instrument and I’m so glad they exist
check out Colin Stetson's stuff!
Jesse Budel I love colin stetsons stuff, but I haven’t heard enough. Thank you for reminding me of this man.
@@namavoid3266 does ur profile pic have a kid smiling in the black bit?
kaan Afraid that’s fake, good video but it’s never been true.
Check out Too Many Zooz
Andrew: *almost deaf in both ears*
also Andrew: *listens to really amplified sub-bass sax*
He knows whats up
@@isaakwelch3451 Or what's down, in this case
A small price to pay for salvation
I’m literally so impressed at what these guys managed to do with those saxes. The samples were so fun to play with 🤪
I wasn’t sure if I’m supposed to upload it to my own channel before submitting but it’s in there if you wanna check it out 😊
I just blown away with the fact that these instruments have existed for hundreds of years and they can produce sounds that we have discovered and manufactured in this present digital age of music. Just, wow.
0:35 - I'd so love to vocode with this.
0:56 - That nervous 'It's so loud!' is a feeling everyone has had as it's made your soul wobble.
4:06 - Very pleased with oneself!
Andrew: *knows all the weird gear*
Awesome guest: *makes dubstep with a clarinet*
Andrew: ("I have seen nothing yet")
0:36 How is he playing Virtual Riot Serum wavetables from that thing.
Black Diamond lol
I got recommended their NPR last Thursday and have been on a binge since, this video came in clutch! Can't wait to experiment with this sample pack, thanks big time bro!
Recently saw Moon Hooch in concert. Their recorded stuff is amazing, but they’re even crazier in person (somehow). It’s so cool to see them on Andrew’s channel!!
This is the saxiest thing I've seen!
Andrew is probably doing tons of sax every day. I want to as well one day but it seems to require using your mouth a lot...
@Wautermelin what are you talking about?
@Wautermelin ;)
@Andrew I can't believe you got to chill and sample with Moon Hooch! Awesome! Too bad I couldn't have gotten the sound pack before my first assignment in your class!
the sound from those instruments is mind blowing!!
Stellar! Thanks. I was watching this and was wanting to use the samples to make something.
I love watching TH-cam on my phone speakers, seeing one of your videos and going scrambling for my headphones
This video made me smile. Thanks, Andrew.
I would love to hear Radiohead's The national anthem on that sax. Would be amazing
saw the cone in the bari, knew is had to be moon hooch! Saw them in the subway in NYC 7ish years ago, then again opening for TMBG, and now here!
Man, moon hooch is so cool. Love them even more now
Gracias por el pack gratis
Un saludo desde el sureste de México
I have to say Andrew , in a sea of sound alike clones in TH-cam land, ( no offense to anyone , but you know its true, same product reviews, same djenty, finger tapper, down tuners , same tired blues licks , synth links, sounds , songs.....etc, you know what I mean)
....yes, like I was saying. In a sea of clones, you truly are unique, cutting edge, informative and entertaining.
For me your up there with Rick Beato's channel, or Big hairy guitars.
Right on brother.
My favorite group since 2013
Hell yeah! I love moon hooch. I love Andrew Huang. This is so good.
Must have been one of the rare times that Andrew was not the only musical genius in the room.
I discovered these guys like a week ago.. what a pleasent surprise :)
for a minute I thought you were giving away all our secrets 😉
Those may have to go on another video sharing platform 🤔
As a saxophone player and a producer this is the most inspiring video ive seen in a long time and you best believe ima make a video inspired by this.
The best concert I've ever been to was a moon hooch concert in Berkeley
MOON HOOCH TIME YEE HAW
Oh man - That is big! (and low) Thanks for all your inspiration - you are really talented!
To be fair, any traditional wind instruments (including clarinets) can be considered horns. When in a marching band setting and the leader says "Band horns up" it means everyone puts their instruments up (and the drum line readies their sticks)
Misreading the title + that thumbnail = so much confusion
4:38 gave me heavy Daft Punk vibes. Mainly Homework and Human After All
I'm so glad this exists
I love moon hooch! New album is dope guys
Love these guys, been following them for almost 5 years.
I was about to comment "make this a sample pack" but you were one step ahead of me 😂
Imagine watching this a little stoned 🤘🏻
Pretty trippy!
If you like this stuff, Colin Stetson has been doing some avant-garde bass saxophone stuff for a long time and it's amazing.
Gotta check out Too Many Zoos! Such a tight band. And Leo P. on contrabass sax.
I did not expect moon hooch here, but I couldn't be happier.
Should do a video on generative music and incorporate modular synth to create a generative patch
These guys were sick on NPR tiny desk!!
this is so cool :D
0:54
Thats pumpin'
Moon hooch are awesome!
Gonna get on making a song with those samples right away lets see what happens, seemed like there was some maaddd sounds
That's straight up the dopest wobble ever
Classical musicians: YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!
Electronic musicians: woah fam that's some lit fire!
jeeeze, i literally loved everything about this!!
Andrew’s almost at 2 million subs! Help the guy out! 💪🏽
What happened to the sample pack? It's not in the description and it's not on his website...
3:38 wow my kettle sounds different
looooove moon hooch
Moon Hooch are awesome dudes
man those sounds are great, i need them to do a cover of il vento d'oro.. i can only imagine the breakdown part they would be able to do
Moon Hooch! I was wondering when he would do something with them, they're just the right kind of awesome/weird.
So dubstep 1920 now I def want to time travel!!!
i saw the thumbnail and came to comment that that's how Moon Hooch gets their crazy sound... only to see that it's them!
Inventor: This is a dubstep clarinet, it will become relevant in 100 years.
My subpac is MOVING
This is one of the most badass things I’ve seen
Love it!
I love sax even more now
Do this but with a trumpet
One question about how much would the huge section on your wall with synthesizers cost
both clarinets and saxophones are woodwind instruments, but woodwinds are often still considered horns
The thing is, I listen to both Leo P. and these guys so I am used to this stuff
Free sample pack?! O_O
Acoustic dubstep would be nut.
saxes, clarinets, accordion, drum and bass would be the main instruments.
I want a Contrabass Clarinet so bad.
Dude same
The leo p moves at 3:30 🤣
I want to play this.... Strange... bass... clarinette...
That's juste amazing and cool
4:39
i keep laughing at his face
damn vr should also collab with these guys
4:46 THE DESCENT INTO MADNESS
At first i saw the title and it thought it said “weird sex techniques” and then i saw a weird cone thing going inside a saxophone 😂😂
They look like children playing with a new toy :D Love it.
heck yeah
They need to collab with beatbox sax
Fyi saxophone is woodwind aswell as clarined 👍
3:40 R2-D2 screaming
Cosmo Sheldrake is proud.
Just... Thanks!
The fact that Mike’s Sax is from 1920 and the cone of from 2019 if oddly funny to me. Reverse years
That thumbnail attracted me....
0:26 but saxes are technically woodwinds too-
moon hooch!!!!
shake da house
shake da world
3:32 Leo P
Lukas Wagner Moon Hooch and Too Many Zooz have worked together, would not be surprised at all if that was a little Leo P influence
sax is a woodwind too
Moon hooch
This is exactly what I thought 2020 would be
This video is just a slow decent into madness
4:23 a Robot just sharted.
How the hell does he make that yae yae yae sound at 1:02??? Sounds eerily uncanny valley.. would be useful in music tbh
Really just wish I had his infinite setup is never leave my room
MOON HOOCH OMG
Man moon hooch are fuckin sick 🤟
That's fucking awesome!
what magic
