I may risk having people tell me I'm wrong :) but with proper warmup, I personally, very naturally nail that part, with volume, many times in a row (although I'm not saying it's easy, that'd be lying), and in the other hand, the lower, high mix parts are, were and still will be a bitch for me for a long time. And don't get the wrong idea, I'm not even a tenor, but a baryton/bass. My confort zone is either low, and for some reason, extreme high is ok and powerful.
I guess that really depends what kind of singer you are.
And apparently it's not even depending on what part within the range you are mostly categorized by people. Seems like it just IS more complex.
Bassist reading this comment, and knowing a lot about singing technique, surely understand what I'm talking about.

Must say that when listening to the original, you can hear Steven's voice strain to all hell through the high notes. Rob certainly nailed it, and I dare say, a lot better than the original.

Your voice type doesn't matter if you are a skilled singer, it doesn't even matter if you are not a skilled singer, it's just a categorisation for Opera Singer roles. Rob is a High Baritone too, you can recognise this by looking at his lower notes, also his speaking voice is on the lower side of the spectrum.

I know that cover, really really good performance too, a bit "soft" to my taste, but really cool, and its an amateur, not a rockstar so i we have to give him more credit. This guy has some GNR covers worth to mention too, check his channel if you havent done it yet.
