Solving water ingress in the rear of a Nissan E-NV200 or NV200 van

  • A common issue on the Nissan van is rusted lower door latches as water pools around them underneath the plastic trim. This is caused by water getting inside the van either from the roof rack mounts or the high level brake light. Water can track around the rear door seals and mask where it is entering the van. You might find this video will help identify any leaks.
    If the rear high level brake light bulb has been changed at any time in the van's lifetime, then it is highly likely you need to fit a new gasket. The Nissan part number is 26593-BJ00A.

    I’ve had the piece of rubber that is glued to the body on the top inside the doors come off two vans now. I used shoe goop to reattach and my leaking stopped.
