Florida State's offense was downright great in 2022. In 2023, it should be ELITE. Will it be as good or better than the offense that Jameis Winston and crew had in 2013? We think so and are going to break down why Mike Norvell's offense is going to be so phenomenal this season.
Jordan Travis is where it all starts, but the running backs, wide receivers, and additions at Tight End + Offensive Line have us READY for the season to get started against LSU.
Jeff Culhane should get plenty of opportunities to yell "Fire Up The Warchant and Plant the Spear!" as this version of the Noles should be REALLY good.

I said in 2013 that we will go as far as our offensive line will take us. The same goes for us this upcoming year. If our offensive line is elite then our team will be elite.

This isn't exactly fair, that 2013 offense rarely played the second half. So most of these numbers from 2013 were put up in 3 quarters. Compared to the 2022 team that played entire games.

The major difference between 2022 and 2013, 2013 team had one of the best defenses in the last few decades. LaMarcus Joyner, Timmy Jernigan, Telvin Smith, Jalen Ramsey to name a few.

As a NOLE in enemy of territory (Miami area), I love seeing what’s happening in Tallahassee. I took my son up for the Georgia Tech game, and saw a special group. Travis could win the Heisman, FSU should finally take back the ACC, and a national title is a realistic possibility. Neither the Gators or the Canes have such a bright future.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that FSU will be able to beat any team in the country next season. Not saying they will win the NC but they can legitimately play with anyone. So crazy compared to the last 5 years of suck that we’ve been through haha

One huge difference is that the 2013 team was MUCH better in the trenches on both sides. By miles.
in couple year span FSU had like 27 NFL drafted players. Jimbo Fisher couldnt keep up recruiting at the rate.
It will definitely be interesting to see this offense operate next year. Could indeed be "special". The LSU game will be incredible, and the rest of schedule manageable. FSU 39 - OU 27 in the bowl, only if OU can run the ball. Our pass rush hopefully should nullify OU passing game due to OU line. D-line should eat, improve draft stock. Go noles!

I think the offense next year is definitely a Elite you got great running backs receivers are really good it's going to be hard to defend this offense because you got to worry about Jordan Travis with his legs he also got to worry about 67 Morlock and Johnny Wilson a lot of tall weapons to use against tetams but if I had to compare Travis to a quarterback in the past I would say he's closer to Charlie Ward which is not a bad thing I think the floor is 9 wins they can win 10 games maybe even 11
Bro we got 9-10 wins this year if we beat Oklahoma. Our team can only improve next year as long as we’re injury free bro we should definitely be Acc contender and PO contender if everything go as planned. Regardless we should definitely win 10+ games next year and with guys like Winston Wright coming back, bringing in Jaheim Bell who is a big time TE our defense grabbin some key pieces we could be dangerous foreal

The difference is that 2013 team didn’t lose, we had a 3 game skid against beatable teams Clemson Wake and NC State, you getting caught up in the hype comparing that 2013 team and I love my Noles I’m a delusional fan at times but it’s natty or bust next season before we can even make comparisons
I like this team, but 2 things. First, 13 didn't need depth. Jameis never really played after half time. The starters were on the sideline after the 3rd quarter. Secondly, if the starters had played more minutes, then we would have put up 80 on everyone, and the stats would look much different.
With that said, we definitely could be the same type of team. Just different. If that makes sense. #gonoles
FSU has a ton of potential next year ... If FSU can stay healthy and players continue to develop like they have under Norvell I believe FSU will be a serious contender not only for an ACC title but for a national championship because unless they see UGA or Bama I don't think any defense keeps them from putting up a ton of points
the 2013 team averaged 519 yards per game and 84 offensive TD's. I loved this season and we had/have an explosive and productive offense, but in no way does it come close to comparing to the 2013 offense.. who for example, and ik you know this but, put up 51 against No3 ranked Clemson at home.... and came back to win the Natty over the SEC champion..lol love the channel and appreciate the content though! If our defense is somewhere between great and exceptional no one will be able to stop us except for us. How do we handle expectation and success? Does NIL get in guys heads? Lots of unanswered questions. But talent wise I’d put us up against anyone in the country.

This isn't exactly a fair comparison. 13 rarely if ever played the 2nd half. So that alone makes this comparison futile. With that being said, I do believe the 23 offense will be very good as long as Travis stays healthy and the o line performs.
Dont forget we did have 6 blow outs this year out of 12 games about the same as 13

Travis and Winston are not in the same stratosphere. That o line in 2013 all went pro. Slow down Renegade… we didn’t even know 2013 was gonna be that dominant
2013 was 67 yards for Shaw, away from having three 1000 yard catchers. It had a 1000 yard rusher, 4000 yard passer. 2022 didn’t have a 1000 yard rusher, a 3000 yard passer, or anyone come close to 1000 yards catching.
I don’t see how a talented TE added to the group is going to change things much.
In regards to 2023 being potentially better than 2013. Not in general terms for the offense
1) 2013 played 2 more games.
2) 2022 had one less offensive TD through 12 games and more yards per game than 2013.
3) Those were great individual performances in 2013 but FSU’s 2022’s offense was more diversified with more guys getting touches.

Homes will be our second best running back in 2023 he will replace Ward who needs to hit the portal him and CJ Campbell you mentioned every wide receiver except Williamson which I think is going to be great next year
Purdy should have stayed. We would have fortified a nice set up for a potential dynasty like momentum run. I would have been tickled. But definitely looking forward to 2023

In my opinion, Jameis Winston is a blackeye on the program. I would like nothing better than for a guy of high character like Jordan Travis, to have all the records.
Every program gets a player to serve that role once in a while. It's sort of like contouring with makeup, you have to use a dark streak or two and blend them in. It then allows the lighter and brighter elements to stand out.

Travis has better touch on the ball when running than Jameis did. Jameis was more of a pocket passer and had more controlled throws ie he could put just the right amount of force on the ball to make it catchable. Travis throws like the ball is coming out of a cannon which can make it harder for a receiver to catch

This offense has the ability to hang 50 on everyone. EVERYONE ! Health, especially JT's health will dictate how elite this offense becomes. Arm strength and pre snap reads will elevate JT to the next level. FSU 35 - OU 28.
Just stop. The 2013 offense was the highest scoring offense in college football history until LSU with Burrow just edged it. FSU sat most of their starters in just about every 4th quarter that year, which gives it the potential to be much more prolific had they stayed in. I am not saying that 2023 will not be elite, but just slow down those comparisons lol.
Did you see the stats we put up on the screen? The offenses scored 58 and 57 TDs respectively through 12 games.
2013 was the highest scoring TEAM. A lot of that included defense and special teams as well.

I don't even think the star power will matter cause when you look at this offense next year....there is literally a dangerous weapon if not 2 or more at every postion. I'm more looking at what our defense will do cause we are going to need to be able to limit good offensive teams and create turnovers.
