Loved this. Very informative and I loved the pattern of the feathers between the sinamay. Lovely percher. Thank you so much. x

Love your tutorials. Can you do a tutorial to show how to make Sinamay hats that use different colors that look like many patches put together? Thanks

I loved the dimension of the feathers incorporated in the layers of the Sinamay. However, I did feel that I would not have been happy with the movement of the Percher, it looked a bit precarious, but saying that I did enjoy the techniques applied. Can you let me know what 'stiffener' you use please. Well done again.

Good morning! Thank you for your comment - im glad you liked the video. I agree - if I was to do this again, I would probably use change the size of the percher so it has less movement.
I used a millinery stiffener - www.parkinfabrics.co.uk/millinery/accessories/stiffener/millinery-stiffener-1ltr-concentrate.html - and I dilute it 1 part stiffener to 4 parts water which is perfect for sinamay - the same company sells felt and straw stiffener too

I found this a little confusing, maybe I need to watch a few times lol. What was the benefit of the feathers inside the sinamay bases? just trying to learn. Linda

      Hi
The feathers were sandwiched between the sinamay to give a pattern to the sinamay - you could always omit this step though!

Thank you John I was struggling to get the dimple on the back but your tip of reblocking the base back to front was fantastic, I am using the button block you sent me and it looks fab😁💕👍👏
