He sent me back a great black and white photo inscribed "Stephen-Cheers-Joe". It is my prized possession. For whatever reason this is my favorite Joe song. I loved Joe. This was his best song...for the words, for the rendition. He sang it a capella in Upper Darby PA one night and left us breathless..god bless Joe..hope to see you one if these days
Saw him at the Tower on 69th Street in 75 or 76 I think. Joe was in rough shape in those days. Pretty stoned or drunk Still, he never missed a beat and it was great show.
