- In 2024, I traveled all over the US to shoot steam. From the Redwood Forrest of California, to the rolling hills of Georgia, and to the scenic river sides of Connecticut. In totally I shot 16 steam locomotives, with the smallest being Huckleberry 152, to the biggest one being Union Pacific's 4014. Come along and see steam action in 2024!
This video, for the most part, is in order of when I shot which engine. Some engines, like Southern 4501, appear more than others.
List as shot:
Southern 630
Southern 4501
Morehead & North Fork 12
Pere Marquette 1225
Huckleberry 152
Nickel Plate Road 765
Little River 110
Great Smoky Mountains 1702
Union Pacific 4014
Roaring Camp 2
Gulf, Mobile & Ohio 4382 (SOU 4501)
Strasburg 89
Reading & Northern 2102
Baldwin 26
Valley Railroad 97
Valley Railroad 40
Southern 154
As always, thank you to the crew of each locomotive and staff at each museum or railroad for operating these machines for everyone to see!
Too cool! BNSF trains come through town multiple times per day. I can only imagine what it must have been like when these beasts traversed the country. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching, I'm always found chasing steam to be a great time
Very nice. While I haven't had the opportunity to travel quite as extensively as you have, I have been on railroads in my home state of Pennsylvania (i.e. Strasburg, New Hope & Ivyland, Steamtown), and was extremely fortunate to have seen U.P. #4014 and #844 in Utah in 2019.
I'm very lucky to be able to get out and about to see steam. I have alot of friends who are willing to travel with me to see these.
@@LanesTrains That sounds really neat, both for the fact that you can see all of these locomotives and that your friends can share these memories with you.
