Oh praise God and bless you for this. So beautiful with the gently untuned piano and just such simple eloquence. Sounds like the ancient workhorse pianos in the churches I sang in when I was young. It doesn’t take much to get praise out of them, whereas a well tuned baby grand is always too full of itself for the listener to find the peace of our Lord in it readily.For a while in my childhood we lived in and mom ran her daycare in the bottom of an house and my cousins occupied the top. My room was in the cold old back of the house, had we a back door we would have fallen straight down, right into the Kennebec River. Above me was another dark, cold room, literally heated by the hot water pipes placed against the walls instead of inside in their way from bath to kitchen. There my cousin Little Danny lived with a large old upright piano, and I loved to hear him lilting through our old hymn books until something would catch his heart to spend the afternoon writing variations. Thank you for such lovely memories.
