Once you start to go down the rabbit hole of Filipino artists, it will be hard to crawl back out. Gigi, and particularly Darryl, are established singers in the Philippines and these two are just a taste. It is very normal for artists to collaborate - weekday noontime and weekend TV programming is littered with variety shows that feature several singers doing multiple covers alone, duets, or as a group. If you liked Darryl, try another you’ve seen with him - Michael Pangilinan. His covers of Rainbow or Perfect on the Wish Bus perhaps.

Pilipino artist’s are known to mimic/ imitate foreign music easily, particularly English, Philippines is the only country that dominates English songs back in early 60’s in all East Asian countries, pilipino’s inspired by American musician and the British, most pilipino artist composed their own English music at least 2 English songs in their album the rest are Tagalog, even our people sometimes mistaken that original pilipino English music was an American song, assumption 😅because they don’t see who is singing, it’s been a long time early 2003 youtube was born fresh, and other social media platforms,after 18 years pilipino's getting recognized little by little internationally around the globe knowing that they’ve been singing beautifully for decades, unlike South Korea and Japan are known first , don’t get me wrong K-pop are known internationally for their energetic and style, but they only sing Korean and a lil bit English in their lyrics like baby baby and repeat, while Philippines just there keeping their small circle with their golden voices 😂
