I have read Eleanor and park, Fangirl, and Carry On. My favorite is Eleanor and park, it was the most realistic one for me in my opinion, but I LOVED Carry On and Fangirl so much, but Baz and Simon are so cute!!!!
I love all of Rainbow ' s books for different reasons. One of the things I love most though is the way she gets me do invested and interested in these characters that, on the surface I am really not like at all. I'm so glad you have enjoyed all of her work so thoroughly.
oh my god I'm so glad there is someone out there that is as obsessed with Rainbow Rowell's books as I am. I absolutely love her writing style and the way her books can make me feel ALL the feels. When I read Eleanor&Park (first book I read by her) I stayed up until 1 am finishing it. And then I cried for about 15 minutes. When I read Attachments, I was smiling throughout the whole book. And Fangirl left me with a feeling of longing..and nostalgia..which doesn't even make sense because I have yet to go to college. But yeah, this just kinda shows that her books are able to get so many emotions out of me, and I love Rainbow Rowell for that. Wow that felt good.
I've read Landline and Fangirl and in both cases I really enjoyed how REAL everyone felt, even if I couldn't quite relate to everything they were going through. I think that's the key with Rowell's books, how real the characters and their experiences are (I mean, minus a magical phone, but that was still done well!). - Becks
I've tried reading Fangirl several times but did not get past the second chapter. By the sound of it, I think I'd like Attachments more. I think I'll give that one a try :D
eleanor and park was the first rainbow rowell book i read and i absolutly loved it. i have almost finished fang girl. i love her writing and to be honest am not sure if i could chose a favourite they are all so amazing. But i would relay like to read attachments next.
My favorite Rainbow Rowell book is Eleanor & Park. That was first book by her that I read, and I read it before the hype got too big, and I just completely invested so much in the characters, like you said. My second favorite is Attachments because it was so good and them all were just so... I can't even. My least favorite is Fangirl, because I didn't connect as well to Cath as a) everyone else did or b) the way I did for her other characters. Sadly, I've yet to read Landline, but I'm really excited too! And, while I'm not sure I'd say this is comparable to Rainbow Rowell, I think you'd like Wild Awake by Hilary T. Smith. I have never felt crazier than I did while reading that book.
Finally someone who shares my feelings on Attachments! That one is still my favorite. Lincoln is my favorite "romantic" character of the book, although Levi comes in a close second. I loved Fangirl, but definitely connected to it as something I went through in the past. But being in graduate school now and going into the work force soon, Attachment just pulled me in so much. Loved this video!
I agree with your order of Lincoln, then Levi haha. They funny thing is that theyre two COMPLETELY different characters, yet I love them both so so much.
2:30 I don't think that's fair. I mean, people from hard situations genuinly enjoy books about characters with 'normal lives', so why do normal people see bad situations as unrealistic?
You're right, the term realistic wasn't right to use there. A few seconds later I used the term relatable, which is really what I was going for the entire time. As I said, I did still enjoy the book, just not as much as the others.
I just finished Fangril and I am involve. Rowell has a way of making Cath slowly open up and relax throughout the book that made it so wonderful. The part where she is sitting on Levi's lap and her phone rings then it's Wren wanting her to come home is so wonderful because you see the shift in her Personality. She use to be all about her Dad and wanting to live at home to watch him then one day she decides she rather be with Levi. You just watch her grow up and it's wonderful. Definitely my favorite book and author!
Can't wait to dig into a another Rowell book which I now own them all. I was sad I couldn't find attachments in hardcover so I got the uk cover I believe. I really did like Eleanor and park. I think I fell in love with park too. Lol can't wait for the older protagonist books and see how those work out since I like adult contemporary.
I love Attachments and Fangirl. E&P, not so much. I am yet to read Landline but I bought a copy when it first came out. Good thing you mentioned about reading it around Christmastime, I might just do that.
I'm not a big contemporary reader, but I love Rainbow Rowell's books (so far I have read everything but Eleanor & Park). It is hard to choose a favorite, but I would probably say Fangirl. The characters felt so real and Levi was adorable.
Out of two I've heard from her Elanore and Park was my favorite then Fangirl. Fangirl was ok but I just didn't think much happened in it. And it was predictable. Eleanor and park was just really great story. I'm interested to read her adult books now though! I've been meaning to! You've made me want to push them up higher on my TBR
Okay so my favorite is Fangirl. I've only read 2 of her books so far and the other one is Eleanor&Park which I did not enjoy as much as I thought I would.. But FANGIRL!!! I loved it! I re-read it for the third time last week and it just made me feel so happy.. I nee to get Landline and Attachments. AND My True Love Gave To Me. I think I liked Fangirl so much because I can relate to Cath a lot. I'm nir in collage, but I can still relate to her. I think that when I do get in collage, I'll love it even more.
Rainbow Rowell is surprisingly hard to say. Probably because the R's and W's and L's all happen in the same part of your mouth (linguistics nerd alert) I haven't read Attachments yet but I've read all the others. Mostly I haven't read Attachments because like, then I have nothing left to read by her and the idea of that kind of scares me for some reason. lol Does her writing remind you of Matthew Quick at all? It does to me.
That was me too! I had Attachments on my shelf for over a year haha. AND YES. I don't get as invested in Matthew Quick's characters (probably because of their innate quirky-ness) but they're still insanely likeable and his plotlines draw me in in a way that's similar to Rainbows. :D Very solid point!
I've only read Fangirl and it was way too overhyped for me. I thought it was good but I think I had heard too much about it. Also, I didn't really relate to Cath as much as everyone else seems to. SO I need to read more Rainbow Rowell to get a better opinion.
have you read anything from joe hill or neil gaiman ? if you have whats your thoughts on them? c: i love gaiman hopefully you do a video on him if you like him c:
I love rainbows books for a ridiculous amount of reasons. But mostly because she writes about real life in the most interesting of ways. There was one quote on the back of one of her books that read “Reading from rainbow is like listening to you’re funny best friend tell you a story.” And that’s exactly how I feel. But also that her love interest are REAL guys that you can find in the world. Not these trope-y make believe men that are 6’7 and wear leather and don’t want a girlfriend but will settle for you and have sexy scars. She writes about men like Levi, Lincoln, Park, and Neal who are kind, sweet, and REAL. You could find a Levi or a Lincoln in the real world! Not the neurosurgeons and billionaires, Aaron Blackfords, Adam Carlsens! But also her stories aren’t just love stories! Their finding balance, or coming of age, or become a real writer, or learning where the dinning hall is stories!
The premise of attachments is beyond creepy to me? I haven't read the book so maybe it's handled well. But I can't see myself reading it just cuz the plot seems very problematic.
I think Eleanor and Park was overhyped. I didn't enjoy it at all. But, I will give her books another try, since it was your least favorite, and that gives me hope for her other books.
I haven't read 'Attachments' nor 'Landline' but my favourite is 'Carry On'.
I loved it so much, everything about that book makes me scream hahaha.
I have read Eleanor and park, Fangirl, and Carry On. My favorite is Eleanor and park, it was the most realistic one for me in my opinion, but I LOVED Carry On and Fangirl so much, but Baz and Simon are so cute!!!!
I love fangirl, carry on i didnt read but i think that eleanor and park are a bit problematic when you search about it.
I love all of Rainbow ' s books for different reasons. One of the things I love most though is the way she gets me do invested and interested in these characters that, on the surface I am really not like at all. I'm so glad you have enjoyed all of her work so thoroughly.

Yes, do it! You will fall in love with Lincoln. andJenandBethandeveryone.
This is the first video I have seen of yours but you are now officially my favourite TH-camr!!!!
eleanor and park was the first rainbow rowell book i read and i absolutly loved it. i have almost finished fang girl. i love her writing and to be honest am not sure if i could chose a favourite they are all so amazing. But i would relay like to read attachments next.
Fangirl was the first book I have ever read of Rainbow Rowell and I have been hooked ever since!
She is amazing!! I love her so much, the writing is so awesome, the characters feel so real!
SO real! :]
ATTACHMENTS! I read it a year ago and I''m still thinking about it
My favorite Rainbow Rowell book is Eleanor & Park. I think you'll really love Landline if you liked Attachments! The characters are completely different, but you get just as invested.

TheBookHoarder Oh for sure. But it's fine to have diversity in book crushes. :)

The way u explain the books i feel like reading it right now
I love Attachments and Fangirl. E&P, not so much. I am yet to read Landline but I bought a copy when it first came out. Good thing you mentioned about reading it around Christmastime, I might just do that.

My friend forced me to read Eleanor & Park and since then I've made multiple people read it. It's so sad and so disturbing yet so lovely.
It is quite beautiful!

I'm not a big contemporary reader, but I love Rainbow Rowell's books (so far I have read everything but Eleanor & Park). It is hard to choose a favorite, but I would probably say Fangirl. The characters felt so real and Levi was adorable.

Eleanor and Park is my favourite!

I can see how it's predictable, so that's very understandable! Her adult books are phenomenal, i'm glad they've been pushed up! :D

Yo, Eleanor and Park was such a cute read. I thought their first love was so beautiful. 😣
How is that your least favorite?😑😆
Okay so my favorite is Fangirl. I've only read 2 of her books so far and the other one is Eleanor&Park which I did not enjoy as much as I thought I would.. But FANGIRL!!! I loved it! I love love love Attachments. It's my favorite as well. :)
My favorite is her short story, Kindred Spirits. IT'S SO GOOD. Another is Fangirl. Feel good books. Please come back to vlogging. 😊
Rainbow Rowell is surprisingly hard to say. Probably because the R's and W's and L's all happen in the same part of your mouth (linguistics nerd alert)

You ABSOLUTELY do. Try Landline, I think you'd love it!
Really?! Landline is the one I'm most hesitant to read. But you know what, I might just have to try it.

Beautiful, book lover, and Rainbow Rowell fan? You are wife material.
I think Eleanor and Park was overhyped. I didn't enjoy it at all. But, I will give her books another try, since it was your least favorite, and that gives me hope for her other books.
I would definitely recommend giving her another go, the writing style in her other books are very different from Eleanor and Park!
