What do you think of the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante? Is it a true GMT? Is it a true Rattrapante?
Does the hour hand "catch up"... yes. Is it more of a "dual time" than a GMT... maybe so. But that's as much the distinction between 12-hour or 24-hour GMT tracking. As pointed out in the video, there is a looseness to the use of the terminology over the years and this is no different. It might be an argument of semantics, but that doesn't change how good the watch is!

@wristenthusiast that's interesting because the Minute Rattrapante has more perceived utility to me on the daily than the GMT Rattrapante. But that's a function of me not traveling for work anymore, but rather timing lots of events in my day. I'm eager to get my hands on the Minute Rattrapante soon and confirm that I want it. I have the Tonda PF Micro Rotor right now and love the design and feel of the Tonda PF line, but I would likely trade one for the other.
Absolute banger of a steel sport watch.
It’s Both and is to date my favorite Watch in my collection. No the Rattrapante doesn’t operate as a traditional Rattrapante but nonetheless it is still the functional representation of a Rattrapante. I love the guilloche dial and simplicity of the disappearance of GMT’s function when not in use… To me this is what true elegance in Watch making is all about.
It’s one of my favorites in their collection. The skeleton is also amazing. Super thin and comfortable

Great idea poor execution. No wonder it’s 30% below retail. I love the design but that bottom at 8 o’clock just to advance the time is an overkill and messes up the symmetry
And where can you get it for 30% below retail?
@@MrRovoLovachrono24 , watchbox etc etc . And mind you below 30% is just the listing price you could get more discount on bargaining . Parmegiani is not an easy watch to sell
