As a crane operator, certified rigger, former carpenter, AND a small plane mountain ski pilot, I am digging this! I dropped a folded up (duh...) canvas teepee out of my RANS S-7S at 8600' ( about 45' AGL) by the simple expedient of banking while using opposite rudder, with the door open. It slid right out, as my cargo deck is slightly higher than the door opening. I've also engineered a cremation ashes scattering device, using RV waste dump valves and some ABS pipe and some rope for the actuation of the valves.
Very cool. Airdrops are really fun ... and a great opportunity to really screw up. We have a similar ash spreader ... made from an RV dump valve haha! Thought we had the only one.
Another fun video! Awesome viewpoints of the bombing runs. That little hut will have a great video history and be an amazing place to hang out at. Keep those vids coming!
I love the flyover view of all the impacts. More precision required each run! What speed are you dropping at? Do you feel any upwards lurch on release?
I think I am dropping from about 25'-35' AGL and probably going about 55mph. I keep my speed up for margin. It's remarkable how little I feel when I pull the release. It's barely noticeable.
Will you be hiring at all this summer! I've been wanting to get into off grid building and it would be awesome to see how you are doing it. I'm in soldotna
Thank you for your interest .... Due to budget issues I am not doing much hiring, this is mostly done with one or two paid buddies and then it's just my family and friends.
I’m blown away at this! Perfect deployment every time!

@@BlueIceAviation I used two of the same type RV valves, when both are open the 3" PVC tube empties up totally and quickly. That seemed important!
No city slickers spamming you at your summer camp. Brilliant!

Thanks for the encouragement! I really appreciate it.
Loving the videos! Commenting to keep the algorithm fed
Fantastic videos, fun too see what is next, cheers from Canada
Cool! Thanks for saying Hi. Cheers from AK.
During the GoPro bomb run it sounded like you have a Rotax powered Cub.
