What I find unbelievable is how much their English pronunciation has improved. I can listen to this song without captions, every word, and phrase is clearly enunciated. This is clearly American English and I can't detect any discomfort in their infections, diction...Wow! Having grown up listening to Jpop and hearing Japanese singers trying to throw in English words or phrases into their songs. I can count on one hand the ones who are able to do it well. But here, we are talking about an entire song with English lyrics and not one indication that these are not non-native English speakers. I believe Maya is the only fluent English speaker as I was told she attended an international school. Harvey may have some English ability, due to her family background. Maya and Cocona are the youngest members but have the maturity of seasoned performers on the same level as the older members. It's so good!
XG which is a global girl group by Avex Entertainment Japan debuted in 2022 , the members are all Japanese. Their producer is Simon Park , who was the member of second generation kpop group DMTN. Their debut single was tippy toes. They are trained for 5 years in all areas( vocal, rap, dance).
AVEX should really promote XG properly. I think what their CEO stated was true even if it really hurt the Knetz's ego. The Japanese people really can beat the Kpop industry, it's just that normally Jpop industry don't really need to market outside Japan since their market size is enough and they don't really want to meddle with foreign producers. But when we talk about talent, we all know what the Japanese people are capable of.

The fact these girls are literally all, all rounders, ofc we haven't seen everything. The fact they released 2 singles instead of EP gives me the feeling they are still in the teaser stage. Get interest, promote, show attitude and skills on stage and them BAM, drop a mini album and flex their vocals/rap on B-side

The fact that non-Korean group, especially Japanese, performed on their shows and in English really upset a lot of people. Which I think is hypocritical cuz K-pop has grown internationally because BoA, SNSD and others performed on Japanese shows.
Japan is the 2nd biggest market when it comes to music. All the Korean groups aims to benefit from that. Now that the tables have turned look at what they are behaving, when they just wanted a bit of promotions... So sad. XG aren't really going to be a kpop group, but an international group.

I am a veteran kpop multi-fan with more than a decade+ and do like this XG new girl group. IMO they are very good and have great potential. if not mistaken, they are aiming at the international music markets rather than just some Asian regions. their songs are also sung in English for a reason. don't worry given time they will do well. of course sometimes luck is also important and who doesn't, right? So I also wish them the best.
This is soo incredibly good, I didn't vibe with Tippy Toes a lot when it dropped (I do now though lol) so I kinda lost them out of my sight until they dropped Mascara. But now they got my whole attention and seeing them getting invited to korean music shows is amazing even though a lot of korean ppl made xenophobic comments but I've also seen a lot of koreans supporting them. Can't wait to see Hikaru with them after Kep1er d-wording but that's quite a while still and we can enjoy both groups until then! I hope they can gain a lot of attention and be successful, looking forward to their career! Also goddamn Harvey.........
The Tippy Toes was supposed to be a tease for us fans…Because nowadays when you hear the word comeback we expect all the eggs in one basket..I’m huge blackpink fans for almost 7 years now..But these girls can do a lot better in the future compare to blackpink..I’m just being honest,coming from a blinks.

Though, I also understand that in real life, they gotta tone down a little cuz it's freaking tiring to dance and sing at the same time. It's definitely not a one time thing, so they would be tired to death if the song has more stuff going on. Don't forget they have so many stages to attend back to back.
