  • Gaelic Roots Lunchtime Series: virtual event with Sligo fiddler, Oisín Mac Diarmada

    Sligo musician and founder of the band Téada, Oisín Mac Diarmada will present a lecture/performance on the life and music of legendary Sligo fiddler, Michael Coleman, 1891-1945.
    Virtual events in the series are pre-recorded, set to premiere simultaneously on the Gaelic Roots Facebook Page - / gaelicroots (including a Q&A session) and Burns Library’s Irish Music Archives TH-cam Channel - / burnslibraryimc
    Presented by Irish Studies at Boston College, this virtual event is produced in collaboration with the John J. Burns Library Irish Music Archives and Boston College Libraries. The Gaelic Roots Music, Song, Dance, Workshop, and Lecture Series is directed by Sheila Falls.
