I managed to download the movie thru torrents many years ago. I still have it saved in my computer. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. Waxing nostalgic here.
A friend of mine just lost her dad to cancer. He used to drive us to swim practice all the time and swim meets. This album represents my youth and I’m playing it and thinking of him. RIP Garth. Thanks for all the laughs and kindness.
Es la segunda vez que me topo con una melodía de David Foster, su música es relajante, voy a empezar a seguirlo tengo 62 años y este tipo de melodías me gusta.
Watched this movie as a teenager in the 90s. It made me cry then, just because of the sheer beauty and bitter sweetness of it all. Years later I watched it and I have a whole entirely new perspective, regarding suicide, mental illness, and depression. I have known a lot of people in my life like Katie Chandler. Vibrant and worth it, even if the struggle was real. RIP. I remember you.
THIS movie hit me in a way I can't explain when I was really young, and I LOVED the soundtrack, I related to the suicide issue SO much. It's so weird that I found it again at 48 and it is helping me feel connected again bc now I"ve dealt with suicide so much in my life that it's weird to hear it again after so many years and feel more connected now. I don't know if I'm making sense but music IS incredible for making you feel seen and heard! I actually believe too that part of us knows we will experience things in our lives so the universe gives us things that we connect with bc it knows we will need it later to reflect on and REALLY connect with! Pretty amazing. And when I say the universe, I mean God, and all HE has to dazzle us with. He gives us every opportunity to feel connected to the world, even when others purposely disappoint us. Music can literally save your life.
Jodie Foster is one of my favourite actresses and the other cast members were brilliant in this movie. But the soundtrack is what captured my heart and of course David Foster did a stellar job at capturing the magic and bittersweet feelings of this movie! David Foster is one of my all-time faves and amazing composers! Thank you so much David! 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️🙏🇦🇺
This is, was and always will be my most favorite movie music. From day 1 I was addicted to these instrumental songs and I still love to listen to this music. It literally bring me instrumentally back to the 80's. Thanks thanks for putting these instrumental versions together.
Such a great movie , saw when I was younger at the movies . So worth watching. Not only a great baseball movie . Yet story , soundtrack, that I'm proud to have to this day .
I totally agree with you! I saw this movie several times.... A great movie and wonderful OST...Miss those days of 80's..Make our life worth of living...Thank you for being alive and breathing without giving up, listening to beautiful music together, transcending time and space even in the midst of the pain of life...I am very grateful to David Foster for being born in the same era and being able to hear such beautiful music...His music endlessly enriches my sensibilities.❤
How does one not love and have music like this in their life? The Theme and the Love Theme are iconic! The soundtrack is worldly. One just doesn't get tired of this music. Thanks, David. WOW!
gorgeous movie all the way around. the lovely jodie foster, the dashing mark harmond, captivating cinematography, this amazing soundtrack, and the heartwrenching theme song

Man those years were something special. I was an teenager and young adult during the 1980's. The music was always something deeply felt and satisfying in those days. I didn't realize until decades later that David Foster had actually composed/written/arranged about 60 percent of my favorite songs. Most of them performed by other artists and bands. He set the tone for a large segment of the musical sensibility during the 1980's. Grateful for his contribution.
This is for the memories of our most nostalgic love that we had lost that made us a fraction of ourselves. Even to these days, that no matter what we do, only can we mend unless we try, to reconnect with that person and take back a portion of our heart that we had given them.
You ever wonder whether Katie was destined to be a tragic figure, even if one magically places the perfect love of her life in her story, could that person "make her happy"?
@@WayneKeen I hate to say it probably not. She wanted this perfect life that would have been impossible to give her even a more mature Billy or someone else.
This kind of music is typical 80's. Each time i listen it takes me back. Gosh i miss that era...nothing complicated, no PC, Smartphone, covid,...delicious simple...
I can't hear any of these songs and not think about Katie. In some ways, this movie has a "happy ending", yet it also, sadly reminds me of George Harrison's lyric that "life goes on within you and without you".
Michael Landau plays electric guitar on the song "And When She Danced (Love Theme from Stealing Home)". Other musicians who played on the song include: David Foster: Keyboards and synthesizer Dean Parks: Acoustic guitar Dave Reitzas: Drums Rhett Lawerence: Drums Dave "rev" Boruff: Saxophone Michael Bodicker: Synthesizer Rick Bowan: Synthesizer

Merci David.

Lovely Track, Lovely Movie and Gorgeous Pic of Miss Foster and the guy in the movie...
Mark Harmon! He’s a total bad ass of an actor!
Why is this movie never shown on TV any more?? I was 20 when this came out and I thought it was excellent.

Right. So they can ignore me like the rest of the world. That’s just what I need…
