@3:25 never comes back to that top or bottom image.. i wish i could see how to accuratly add a top/bottom image after initial alignment.. not by hand as i cant get it not to fit :(
Hi Luke, if the image was taken from the no-parallax point: just add it to the project, add control points and optimize. If you can't get it to fit in, there's probably parallax. You must use a calibrated panoramic tripod head. One exception is the nadir (floor) image: if the floor is flat, you can use viewpoint correction to compensate for parallax. See tutorial 7: th-cam.com/video/qtgkaZI8inw/w-d-xo.html If you need more help, post to the support forum: groups.google.com/group/ptgui
@@ptgui o thank you for your prompt and helpful reply w that link! Could i also request a how to do a batch jobs tips and tricks i ran a batch on 50 folders yesturday worked but wish i knew how to do a few things extra (like renaming pano files based on info)for it and had to correct a few by hand as they stitched weird. I'm def glad i upgraded to 11 pro so kuch better than the old 10 i was using thanks for the great work!
I need to set vertical and horizontal lines but i dont have the menu for changing type of control point to set horizontal and vertical points. How can i make those types of points? I have ptgui 10. UPD thank you for the tip in the part 3 video on choosing the same image of both sides! In that case it creates vertical control points by default, and i can change them to horizontal by right clicking on the point. Thank you!
You *really* should write a manual that can be downloaded. You fly through these tutorials entirely too quickly and I am often where there is no internet access and trying to process photos for the day/night.......so these are not available.
when i export panaroma in trial version the photo it covered your advertisement, isn"t it so bad you would need to say it from beginning i have no money to buty pro and i waste time so much but it is useless like that
The first thing to check for is parallax. Use a panoramic tripod head and make sure it is calibrated for your lens. If you shoot hand held, be very careful how you rotate the camera between shots. See the first tutorial. Secondly, see if PTGui has placed control points on any moving objects (cars, people, clouds) and delete those control points. Then it should be possible to get a 'good' or 'very good' result. If you run into any problems, make your images available for download and post to the PTGui support forum; see 4.7: www.ptgui.com/support.html#4_7
@@ptgui Hi, so i will explain my issue a bit better. I took my images on a 8mm sigma lens and Nikon D850. The pano head is a google style 4 turn mount. The nodel point is pre-set up for the 8mm sigma so i cant see how parallax is the issue? I have added (a million control points many times) and only once did i get it perfectly aligned, so i guess it can be but i had not figured out masking so i deleted the pano which at the time still had part of my foot it the hand held downward shot. Since then i can manually add points as in you 3rd video and i get Very Good but still have slightly but noticeable misalignment with a picture frame and cooker, all of which i have managed to alighn yet cant seem to do it again and im at the point where 2 days has passed where ive spent all day and hours at a time plotting points and restarting. not sure what to do now :( Thanks for the response, i thought i would explain a bit better but its a bit of a wall of text to explain. Thanks again Chris

I have an aerial pano in 26 shots which I can’t stitch because not enough control points were generated. Much of the nadir is ocean and the sky was clear, so…. I was hoping this tutorial would help me, but it was both too fast and too little detail. If anyone knows of a more comprehensive tutorial on control points, I’m all ears.
Indeed, water and clear sky can make stitching difficult. See 6.28: ptgui.com/support.html#6_28 If you need further help, don't hesitate to post to the support forum at ptgui.com/forum , we'll be happy to help you!
Great tutorial ... waiting for the next part.
Just published!
I wish you go in more details for people who never use this software before its not all that obvious.
Terrific tutorials! Thanks for this great work.

Great, Thanks. Question regarding the Loupe size, is it only in the Pro version? I can't see it on my menu.
Hi Jean, it's in both versions. See Options/Preferences - Control Point Editor. There it's called 'magnifier size'.

can we show the coordinates parameter for left image and right image like the old version?
Very helpful - would love to see some examples of using different types of line type control points!

Tutorial goes too fast. I managed to figure it out eventually but a steep learning curve.

You couldn’t have made it more difficult
Only one year worth of updates is weak for the price.
Way to fast and and without detailed explanation. For me useless!
