This was a great fight from both women, Merry is very creative with her ground game although it was a double edged sword here. Shanna Gomez truly pulled off one hell of a performance, incredible physique (arguably the best in female mma) and great adaptation skills 💯

great striking, not sure if she has a kickboxing or muaythai background, but it did the job to set up the wrestling, which set up the BJJ, making Gomez a pretty good all-rounder. Definitely not a one-trick pony :) Also I've seen so many foot/leg submission attempts not work and/or opponents tit-for-tat with their own attempts, so to see this one go one way and finish was cool :)
