I had a player that would constantly ask to roll perception to make sure they weren’t missing anything, and would get pissed if the NPCs weren’t 100% planned out ( name, complete backstory, occupation etc.) it made DMing for me not fun, and ruined the game for the other players. They stopped playing with us and the game became a lot more enjoyable.
Honestly, In my first campiagn as a player, me (Sorccer) and my Friend (Bard) just constantly RP'ed that we were just watching the rest of the party argue
i got one "when the DM uses the wrong music" there you explore a dungeon then you find a big plot point/quest item but the DM has the jurassic park flute theme ruins the experience/immersion but if you find a vine and a song that corresponds to this then dear god you are truly an unstoppable maniac

If they're both in a party there may be friction over who gets to take the lead when dealing with NPCs. The smart players pick complementary traits, playing good cop/bad cop.

We spent 1/4 of the session failing to figure out how to introduce him, until we got into a fight that we almost lost, and he decided that he wanted to be the wolf.
