Perfection paralysis! I never had a phrase for it - but this is me!!! My struggle is that I'll have one area of my home 'perfect' (like inside a random cupboard somewhere), but then the rest of the house is a tip!! TOM has really helped me break this cycle. Thank you xx
You have helped me so much with this. When my twins were born and my toddler was 2 1/2 I had total perfection paralysis. It’s definitely not perfect now but your Patreon really helps me use my time wisely. My twins are now 5 and life is still chaotic but I’ve got better at just doing bits on a regular basis. Quick hoover, quick bathroom clean whilst they are in the bath etc. Thanks Gem for keeping me sane.
Great, Great video, you have made me feel that I can give myself permission to do my housework to a good enough standard. Without any Pressure to be perfect. ❤ Thank you 😊
I struggle with being a perfectionist but my go to phrase is a weird one I got from watching old medical shows ‘First do no harm’ It’s weird but it unlocked something for me, I might not have the time or energy for perfect but if I can at least do a little so I’m not doing harm and letting the situation get worse, then that’s good enough. Usually once I start there it’s not as bad as I thought and I make a bigger difference than I expected, but I just need that little phrase to let me get over my own brain
My windows are only ever sparkly between a clean and the first delivery. Our dog (who is gorgeous) turns rabid with stranger danger when the postman turns up. Smears on the window stay until the next living room day. 😂

Also, exactly me with the perfectionist in a messy home! It's taken a long time and still a work in progress I'd say to get over that mindset!
So true! Saving this to watch again. And again...

My kids are 4 and 5 and im starting to relax on the mess. I stress out way to much.
