I didn't understand even a single word. Is she singing in polish? It seems I don't know my own language... Very strange. She has a beautiful voice, but it's not polish at all.
Dear Grace. I'm a polish native speaker and I just don't understand even a single word, and that is the reason I asked. People sing these songs in the different languages, I heard some in German, in Russian and Ukrainian as well, so I thought it may be something in the other slavic language. If it's polish, I'm very surprised. :D Noone denies, that song is polish and Chopin was a Pole as well, it's only the language she sings.
I am also a native speaker and I used to sing those songs in a school choir in Poland. You have to know the words otherwise it's very difficult to understand her. The singer is not Polish so her accent gets in the way. There is a better version of this on Amazon. It comes on a CD and the performances are by a Polish singer. Personally, I am surprised that TH-cam does not have much of Chopin music and songs actually performed by Polish musicians and singers.

Yes, it is Polish and always has been Polish, but it's a bit difficult to understand.
