Andrew Thomson it’s usually engraved on the motor if the bike has been previously registered and been plated then there should be a plate on the frame near the handlebars with the engine number on it
I have to work on these ghastly, ill-conceived, parts-bin mock-ups. The frame number is on the top of the top tube. Take off the black plastic battery access panel, the box section steel tube has a bar-code sticker on it with the number. Because this peels off in the rain, underneath the sticker the number is also punched into the frame. Why bother: which other bike has a smaller front (DRUM, DRUM; I shake my head) brake than the rear (I suspect this was used because the forks are woefully flimsy); the access to the only tool, which is a phillips head screwdriver, requires a phillips head screwdriver; they are fuel-thirsty for the tiny power they produce; they have a short range (this is probably because they have a habit of cutting out after three hours riding); even after the fuel pumps were replaced, they still cut out mysteriously (we have now solved the problem, we hope); the fork yoke cracks; the timing chain and tensioning gear wear out in 20,00km; the drive chain may as well a be rubber band; the swinging arm mounting boss breaks away from the frame; the rear shocks are a joke and unadjustable; &c. I could go on and on. My father would say: if you've got some bad things to say, try to think of something good also. So: the mirrors are very nice. And they keep me busy. Don't waste good money on a bad bike; I'm sure you could get a good GN125 or Yammie Scorpio or Suzuki uk110 (or almost anything) for a lot less than one of these weekend wasters.
