@nanadanso9413 You could go to opposition's instructions and do man mark on both strikers, this way they don't have the ability to turn when they receive the ball. Also you could show them to their weaker foot or outside that way they become less of a threat. If you're feeling brave then go for a medium tackle to put some pressure on the strikers when they receive the ball. Just make sure to always have an overload sort of a 3v2 and you should be fine.
I'd say the alternative to creating the diamond shape of your defence in transitions and build up phases would be to deploy L-D in your back 4 (IFB-D, L-D, BPD-D, IFB-D). The ME positional play function will automatically create the diamond shape you're after...anyway, something to think about...

I've not played FM for probably 10 years but one thing I've not seen in the tactics of the FM games was something I really enjoyed using I'm championship manager 01/02. In 01/02 there was a menu in the tactics that allowed you to set player positions based on where the ball was on the pitch. That's something that probably would work better with modern football manager than that it did back in the early 2000s because you could essentially cheese the game. With advancements in AI and how players move around the pitch and play, you'd really be able to drill into it and set up players in positions easier than trying to force players onto positions based on roles. As long as it programmed in as "ideal position" for the Ai I think it would also work well given how everything seems to be about the manager dictating where players are at any given time at the highest level.

You could even switch to a completely attacking role but it depends on your risk tolerance because you need to be able to stop the opposition's counter attacks.
