    DO NOT RINSE YOUR LECA DUST DOWN THE SINK OR TUB DRAIN. The clay builds up in your plumbing and can cause massive, very expensive problems. 😩😩😩

    Thanks for such great info, I always wondered what they are and how to use. Suggestion: I found it challenging to read your info boxes - too small, maybe increase size for future vids.

    Can I recommend that you soak your clay pebbles in water for 5 to 7 days. Fill your bucket with water and then alter the PH to suit the plants you intend to grow in the pebbles . This way, your nutrient solution will maintain a better PH level.

      I agree with your recommendation, however it will consume a lot of my time. I want to grow plants in an easy way, and I think I am doing well as evidence of my plants.

    I know this video is from 2 years ago but I just found it and I Love it!

    I have a question though- why the hole? In the big glass jars?
    & if I use the vase with no hole, how often do I change the water? Or feed?

    one thing I am confused with...what is the use of drilling that hole in glass vase...

      it will limit you from over watering the plants also can be use for flushing whenever you want to wash you leca balls because of the crystal salts build up from the fertilizer.

      Yes, you can grow even without putting holes. Just make sure not to over water.

      Hi, I’m using hydroponic nutrients or fertilizer regularly. Every time I water my plants, I’m adding mild fertilizer to the water.

    Helpful video! Can you use perlite(not only for rooting) as leca? I mean can you leave a plant in perlite for ever as we do with leca?

    My husband is a plumber
    DO NOT POUR THIS LECA RINSED WATER DOWN YOUR DRAINS
    It's/clay water/ and it will cause problems for you and your indoor plumbing. It's almost worse than pouring grease down your drains. Idk if you guys know how expensive of a mistake this can be if repeated. Plus i cannot speak for the current state of your pipes as is.
    Just pour the water in your yard

      I haven’t tried seaweed fertilizer yet, so I don’t know if you can use it in replacement for hydroponic nutrients.

    My only confusion is do you have to use a container that drains ..or is ok to use a non draining container,and fill it ?I see some containers draining as you water them and then some soaking in water on the outside…

      You need to have a water reservoir for whatever pots you use. If you are using pots with drainage holes, you can add a bowl that can serve as a water reservoir.

    I just found your lovely videos. I grow my plants in leca too but I haven’t tried glass pots yet. How do you know where to drill the hole?

      Hi, just drill 3-4 inches level from the bottom of the vase

    Hi I'm your new sub and actually you introduced me to leca. One question I have is can we use it in glass jar without drilling the glass. And to just watering it with small amount of water but maybe more frequently, to maintan the water level.

      yes you can use glass jar without hole too. the actual purpose of the hole is for flushing and cleaning also for maintaining the water level

      yes, you can do that also but the problem is how you will know when it is due for watering? Unless you are using clear pot.

      I haven’t tried using seaweed fertilizer in Leca. But it is recommended to use hydroponic fertilizer in this kind of growing media.

    Do you ever have a problem with ph fluctuating, or always raising too high? My ph is always coming up, makes it difficult to grow anything.

      This will set limit to your watering and also use for flushing your clay to remove salt residue from fertilizer.

      @@raquelcorbito7885 if you are using nutrients you don’t need to change the water weekly because it will evaporate and use by the plants eventually and you will just refill it.

      Yeah it will make a problem in the long run. I would suggest washing them outdoor.

    I am a new user of Leca. I noticed that Leca balls decreases in size as time passes by is this okay or this a fake clay balls. Pls advise me where to buy original true clay balls as I bought mine on line

      I don’t think it will decrease in size. You can visit any garden shop in your place and they can give you real leca I believe.

    Pleas Yall dont i repeat dont rinse your leca in tubs or sinks or any house drais will cost you alot of money to fix your drains will harden and get clogged!!!! Wish it explained it on this video!!

      Not all the parts of the roots are sitting in the water. And all the plants that I am growing this way are doing well.

    Do not throw it in your drainage pipes. It will harden and clog your pipes
