This was such a great era of Indycar. I went to my first race in 2008 so this was very nostalgic to watch. I was 11 years old and this was the year I really fell in love with Indycar. I felt really sad remembering Dan Wheldon and Justin Wilson.
God I needed this. Maybe watching all the old Glen races will hold me over until you guys come back again. Fingers crossed the two parties work something out, especially with this new cars subtle historic nuances, they need to be reunited
The 2017 race had no promotion whatsoever from the track, and it rained all morning, which probably killed any chance of walk-up ticket sales. Labor Day's just a bad weekend for it. I had an extra ticket last year that I literally couldn't give away. I hope it comes back for 2019. It would work really well if they ran it in conjunction with the IMSA 6-Hour.
Unfortunately low attendance the last 2 times they raced here. It sucks bc it’s good racing and the track is pretty close to me, I was actually at this race.
Indy car much better than F1, just watch the Bahrain race, what a bore, only two teams in it. 7-8 Different winner's to make it watchable, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
andrew berridge that shouldn’t be what you’re watching F1 for, you go into F1 with a different expectation than Indycar and trying to compare the two is like comparing apples to oranges

I think it sucks that Indy Car lost this race off the schedule. Watkins Glen is a tremendous road course.
Pruett Fade yeah Portland should’ve been an addition, not a replacement. Always loved the Glen.
CJSchecter96 .Yep. totally agree!!
Are you high? They literally raced there last year
143 7 it was dropped off the schedule for ‘18
Ooooooh, sorry i'm an Aussie and only just recently started following the series

Joe Watson I feel the same way
Thank you Indycar! Something to watch until they unleash the new 2018 beasts
I enjoyed this a ton! Got crazy there towards the end too
What a ridiculous race! That caution session with 13 ish laps to go 😂
This was not RHR's first indycar win, the stats came over from champ car so this would be his 3rd win
I'd love to see some mid 90's to early 2000's CART/Champcar footage.

An awesome race, thanks sooooo much fo posting these. But please change the thumbnail policy. Racing is great but the thumbnails spoil the winner.
Those cars are awesome!!!
great race. this is the year scott dixon was on a roll. But those cautions at the end is rediculous lol
Remembering these old races makes me more anxious for the beginning of the 2018 season. I can't wait to see the green flag again!
Race start 18 MINS 15 secs.
Look at all the people there. Sadly at the 2017 race there wasn't alot of people

The cars look fast here and it produces decent racing. Why did this race go away in the first place from a few years ago

uncredible caution :)
HATE these cars, miss the track. Come on indy bring back Laguna and this track!
RHRs first W😭😭
Very uncharacteristic spin for Dixon. Back in the day I was pissed about that
Milka Duno & AJ Foyt IV - literally 2 of the worst drivers in the history of racing. Rather fitting that they crashed under caution.
Foyt IV had some good races in his own right. He was without any doubt the worst of his family but he was on the mediocre class in Indycar, not worst

Always Bad Coverage. I thank the IndyCar gods that we have NBC.
