This story definitely shows that how challenging it can be to be a parent trying to lead your kid down a good path. Like how it wasn't a case of the father not supporting her desire to become a nail artist, it's just that being a nail artist doesn't often bring in enough money to be able to live off of that alone. Any parent would fear the possibility of their child becoming hungry and homeless. But I think I went off on a tengent here so I'll stop now, lol!
IMO hobby + job that matches hobby(‘s) = joyful career except if you unfortunately end up with a bad boss (I am talking about you who used to be my boss when my job was assembling things 💢🤬). In my case both building things and designing them is a strong hobby ever since I was only 3 years old (due to both legos and k’nex). Due to that I now design things with CAD programs and enjoying it😁. My parents wanted me to do IT stuff instead (even got me in IT classes😅) however in the end I succeeded in convincing them to let me do designing and now constantly find enjoyment daily. Especially when my boss asks me to either model something or create something new all together😆.
