But china does have a succesful girlgroup and that is SNH48 modelled after japanese girlgroup AKB48. But ofcourse its not in the style of KPOP which is more appealing to the West.

Curley Gao & Nene were the Top 2 of PDCamp in Weibo super topic right now when they both were NOT even on Top 7 prior to the show airing. Which is why they both are NOT chosen for the sponsor CFs as they thought they aren't popular enough since they aren't topping any rankings back then.

That is like saying all TH-camrs who release songs had debuted. Her first ever debut is w/ BBG which is why she was considered as the first ever center in a chinese idol survival show that is not a 'double-cook meat'.
P.S. In case you are wondering 'double-cook meat' means idol who had officially debuted ready but still went to survival shows to re-debut. Curley was NEVER considered one. It was literally trending on Weibo how she is the 1st ever center that isn't double-cook meat right after she won.

Definition of husky - having a semiwhispered vocal tone; somewhat hoarse, as when speaking with a cold or from grief or passion. like, covered with, or full of husks. It’s a good description of her voice since husky doesn’t just mean deep :)
