came in right behind you in this one (6 on zwiftpower).. great race gerben! I realized this only after the finish and thought dammn i should have pushed that little bit harder haha
I did the regular Serpentine 8 route yesterday and I can at least say that the fast company at the front of the race pushed me to a second-best 40 minute power of 319 w, but I won't be riding that route again until they put it on another ToW next year. I'm sticking to the Alpe for the rest of stage 2.
hey Gerben - I like your content! you're a beast...quick question - how do you recover so quickly from all these races? One race has me fatigued for a couple of days!!
Hi man. Thank you. My secret is that I tend to race a little fatigued most of the time. 😂 Mostly I schedule races in the evening or in the weekend and I take two days per week completely off the bike(s) I found out that schedule for me works the best. And once in a while I abandon ZWIFT completely for a week just to reset.
On the description of the ride they suggest a mountain bike so yes I think it is faster. I did it on a free ride the other day and flew past people on road bikes and managed top 12% for my age group at 59 up the long climb, so was really pleased with that.
I actually love Jungle route, especially since they reduced the drag the terrain causes.. watching your video - gg Gerben!
Thank you man!!
4:08 my thought was more like where the h* ... LOL
Nice ride always.
Hahaha. Thank you man!!🙏🙏🙏

Neck is fine! Really 😄

319 is high!! I got the alpe on “maybe” status right now. Legs are wrecked 😂

IRL gravel and mountain biking have a different feel. On Zwift it's just slower and they make a cloud of dust.
This⬆️
20:43 excellent finish, how in the world were those guys pulling away at 11w/kg on that anchor of a bike???
EPO is the answer!
@@RideWithGerben Or Creatine, or beetroot, or heat training, or all three!😆
Did you ride the tour of watopia alle du zwift?
No not yet..
@@RideWithGerbenah spijtig ik was gisteren in de chat voor de start naar you aan het vragen
Isnt gravel bike faster on rhis course?
Yes but on tow mtb mandatory
Yes! But indeed mandatory MTB so the fastest is the Scott RC World Cup.

@@AHURKY Oh yeah. MTB and Gravel are kings on this course!
All that Work… And you won’t even get a 20min Power (19:11)… Slow Down next time 🤔😂💪🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️
Next race I’ll ride slower 😂
#pavethejungle
Can I get an AMEN!!
So boring!!! I hate the Jungle
Zwift needs to rework it.
0:37 hahahahhahaa France really is a boring route. I guess if you only stick to the jungle then I can agree it isn’t exciting either.
It's even between these two maps. #pavethejungle !
@@RideWithGerben I’m surprised they had you on the mountain bike and not the gravel bike. Could have been more fun that way
@@SteakandChains Yes. A bit odd that ZWIFT forces you on a MTB. It's the only time that thing comes out of my garage btw. Haven't used it in a year!
@@RideWithGerben same. I wish Zwift had a way for us to exchange bikes that we don’t use for drops.
@@SteakandChains Yes YES! I so agree with this.
