10:44 no. She sold spells for a fee at the doctor bought a binding spell for her, which would involve probably the “baptizing” of her in the water and saying the words “and now you have nothing” which he said, and it is exactly what Jenn said back to unbind. Agatha never knew what the buyers did with the spells. It was a lazy ending to that story.
They wrote the song together. And didn’t kill anyone until her mother and her coven tried to kill her and her power kicked in to defend her - which was a total surprise to her. If you watch that scene you can see her shock. From that point on she has trauma and ptsd when it comes to covens and witches. Her power was the only way to defend herself and her son. Killing witches with Nicky was just to keep death busy and distracted so she couldn’t take him. It’s exactly what Rio accuses her of doing with Billy - bc she recognizes it. In the end, she was not born evil but she was never loved by anyone until Rio and then Nicky, never had a parent or mentor to protect her or teach her. Billy reminds her of the sweetness of her son and the lost young witch in her - she wants to be the mentor she needed for him.
Good points all across the board. I just remember seeing that scene from Wandavision and her Coven burning her at the stake and she did not come across as innocent to me but I will have to watch that scene again!
I really want a Wiccan and Speed spin off story. More of Agatha and Billy. Also this show left a lot of Billy story very open. Including his identity crises. My assumption is that Billy is both Billy and William so he will go by Billy Kaplan. The soundtrack from the show confirms it the song name Billy Kaplan. I just wish the show said it out loud. Billy’s guilt and thinking he is a terrible person because of what he accidentally did. The parallels with Wanda are crazy. Ghost Agatha is the perfect punishment for her character specially since they want her to play a mentor figure to Billy. She was a villain all the way through which I love. The show did a great job at making us understand her and feel for but not forgive her and make excuses for her actions. Now as a ghost she lost her magic sucking powers and she can’t move on cause she can’t face her son. Like a said perfect punishment weak and can’t move on. Now I do think if we get to see more of Agatha and Billy hopefully in a Wiccan spin off. I see them redeeming her. She is going to be playing a mentor and parental role to Billy and Tommy. Agatha sees herself a lot in Billy plus her son. Like her telling him to not feel guilty about surviving and about his powers. Introducing Hulkling and maybe include America Chavez in the story. Not just cause of MoM but in the comics she is a Wiccan fangirl which wouldn’t make sense here but there is big America and Wiccan lore that they could use in the story as a reason she gets involve in the story. This is would be too much tho it’s like one half of young avengers teamed up already but I would love. But if they do a Wiccan show Hulkling NEEDS to be introduced. Tommy in the side of the story I can see it going to xmen route and have him be captured by the government similar to what happened to him in the comics. Introduce something hinted in Ms.Marvel the government taking super powered people and Hulkling could be in the mix. Also I think Agatha guilt about her son has to do with pretty much the shame that she didn’t try to give him a better life and enjoy her time with him. Just focused on survival and using him to kill witches. And then after he died using the song they wrote together to keep killing witches basically using him again.
I think it's not super explicit shown but the implication is that she did kill witches to keep Nicky alive. There were some subtle evidence to support that, such as: In the scene after Nicky's birth, he was crying and super pale; but after she killed the forest witches, he was shown flushed and happy. Agatha sought to collect the power of healing, protection, and divination in order to prevent Nicky's death, thus the song lyrics and her last coven. Nicky died on the night no witches were killed. I loved this show. It perfectly complements Wandavision in its theme of motherhood, love, grief, and sorrow. It also tackled underrepresented topics in media like queer love, dementia, old age, etc. Thanks for the reaction! Hope there are more Agatha/Billy content coming in the future!
He has reality warping abilities like wanda but does it better in my opinion and he can change the rules to how magic works. He can create entire worlds i believe. I think in the comics he created the world America Chavez is from. This a great way for Wanda to come back now since the road exists now bc in the comics she ends up on the road and Agathas spirit guides her
She was already killing witches due to whatever story that will explain how she and Rio met and whatever deal they had. She didn’t have the brooch from her mom until she killed her, way before Nicholas would have been born. She’s apparently just a magic serial killer because of her deal with death. In episode 5 Nicholas ghost even begs her to stop while she was killing Alice. Agatha is definitely an anti-hero. You want to like her but then……!
It wasn't "The kiss of Death" that killed Agatha (no doubt they'd kissed heaps of times when they were together) Episode 1 Rio "So take my power then" Agatha "Cute! But you know that would kill me" Episode 6 the google search on Agatha said "She is rumored to possess succubus powers" She made the snap decision to be the one who died (Rio "One of you stays with me, the other walks free") knowing that since Billy HAD agreed to "turn himself in" to Death, Agatha and Rio's agreement on the Road was fulfilled, meaning that even if she died Rio couldn't, and wouldn't, take her. It pretty much guaranteed her becoming a ghost. Who knows, maybe her long-term plan is for Billy to eventually either find, or make, her another body?
Wow!! It was Wiccan all along 👑🖤

I found the ending very coherent with Agatha's story, I'm looking forward to the continuation of this story. 💜💜😭
This series really surprised me, my God, I hope Marvel opens their eyes
Can’t wait for them to expand upon this with another series that ties into it!

My fav new marvel show
Aubrey Plaza was perfect in this role, I hope she continues in the MCU
Wiccan is not as powerful as Wanda, but in the future I'm sure he will be haha
Agatha had to kill the Witches to keep Rio satisfied with the bodies so Rio would not take her son.
and still took her son young anyway!

She is not an anti-hero. Anti-heroes are still heroes. Agatha has been a villain all the way through.
