Just found a puppy on the street not even 8weeks old noticed worms. Went on line a small amount of vinegar in his water . Added a small amount of coconut to food. Noticed a improvement the next day
One quick tip to mention is that Praziquantel takes care of tape worms Dipylidium caninum that dogs get from fleas. The more common type of tapeworm. The Fenbendazole eliminates Taenia a different kind of tape worm. A less common kind . Not the kind you get from fleas. And just because your dog doesn't have fleas doesn't mean your dog doesn't have tapeworms. All they need to do is ingest one flea from outside in the dirt and they can get tapeworms from that so using the multi dogwormer mentioned in the video is a very good idea. Especially for breeders.
My dog has worms and I was completely confused on what to do and what to get to treat him. As I don't have the money for a vet, this video saved me and my dog. Thank you so much for a very easy to understand video....🙏
I am so grateful for your clear information. THANK YOU. However, dried, ground pumpkin seeds, a tsp a day in their food for 7 days helps for deforming, add curcumin too. Natural without all the chemicals.❤
I live in mexico, didnt realize they have endoguard. Another crazy thing is amoxicillin you can buy over the counter as well and alot of other different probiotics.
It is good, we use it on the farm, but most people do not dose correctly with it. I see many people saying that they use 1 ml per 5 lbs but that is not correct. The minimum dosage the manufacturer recommends is 1 ml per 4.4 lbs. This is a dosage for uncomplicated cases (Not heavy infestation) and giardia will not be treated at this dose level. The middle range dose, and what I use for worms, is 1 ml per 3.3 lbs. The manufacturer recommends this for areas with resistant worms, or heavy infestation. 1 ml per 2.2 lbs is what's recommended for treating a bad case of giardia. Oftentimes you have to treat giardia for 5 to 7 days. It's usually easy to tell because the puppies stop having diarrhea. Once I see a solid poop, is when I usually stop. Initially I hit them with 1 ml per 2.2 lbs for the first couple days, then I back it down to 1 ml per 2.7 lbs for 2 days, then on the 5th day I go to 1 ml per 3.3 lbs and continue that dosage for a max of 7 days or until poop is not longer diarrhea, whichever comes first. I have always been able to cure every case using this method.
I'm looking/researching natural dewormers. Several years ago, one of my dogs suffered what appeared to be seizure-like symptoms & then had issues with coordination after starting one of those monthly dewormers from our vet (i immediately stopped giving him it). He had different mysterious symptoms over his short life; eventually was put to sleep due to cancer of the eye which spread to his brain. It was horrible. I'm not saying it was due to the med, but it seems suspicious.
But Drontal can only be used for pups that are 12 weeks or older. But what I use for young puppies at 2 or 4 weeks is Pyrantel and after 8 weeks safeguard. then I would wait until you have 12 week old pups to do Drontal! Our pups don't really go outside until they go home at 8 weeks anyway!
Correct me if I’m wrong you wanna make sure you test first that your dog does not have Heart worms before you give that dewormer that kills Heartworms because you can ultimately kill your dog. If your dog already has Heartworms. My dog had heart worms, and the vet had to do a series of injections by the spine and I had to keep the dog confined and calm for about two months I believe.
My family is 4th generation farmers, and we treat all of our animals on the farm ourselves. It would be far to expensive to take all of them to the vet. Imagine calling a vet for 150 goats or 200 head of cattle. So you learn how to DIY. Even our farm dogs, you can give them a very low dose of ivermectin, to very slowly kill off the worms. The idea is to not kill all of them off immediately as it can cause a clot. You want to do it slowly. There is info online in farming communities on how to do this. The vet isn't doing anything special that you can't do yourself. Also monthly heartworm preventatives are a scam. The heartworm life cycle to get to the adult stage is about 100 days or more. If you treat your dog once every 3 months, the cycle is reset and has to be built back up again. Also when it's cold, I can't remember the exact temperature off the top of my head, but I think it's like below 55, the heartworms die in the mosquitos. So for example down in Texas, we treat our dogs 3 months after it goes over 55 degrees, which is usually around March 1. So we treat them June 1st. This resets the cycle. Then treat them again Sept. 1. Cycles is reset. Then one last time on Dec 1. Then your good until next yr

I’m wondering how the safeguard / fenbendazole component works in the quad. We use it routinely for our litters but application is over 3 days or 7+ days for Giardia. Strongid (pyrantel pamoate) is just one dose.
The cheapest, yet "good" (not great) quality dog food is "Kirkland Adult Chicken" (found at Costco). It's $35 for a 40 lb bag. It received 5 stars from the lab tests on dog food advisor. It's on par with dog food that costs double. I feed all my dogs that and the vets always tell me my dogs are very healthy.
