That's a great Idea! I really can't understand why they didnt give the engineer a secondary weapon.. Did they actually think he would be too strong then? 😂 But yeah the engineer definitely needs some love from the devs as you said. I really love playing the engineer classes in pretty much every game which has that option. But in chiv2 it's just really underwhelming at the moment
For real. The engineer should also be able to refill spike trap. 2 engineers should be able to set up a solid defense without the rest of the team helping imo... I dont even main engineer but it would be so interesting and battles would be very different (depending on if the defenders bring engineers and how effective their building placement is).
Only reason I can think is to prevent too many players from picking up the class and then the map might get unbalanced or create a meta of littering the map with the structures? Either way im sure a small weapon selection buff wouldnt be so dramatic lol
I can't get my head around the fact that the youtuber didnt mention at any moment when talking about the engineer the fact that for objectives that destroying structures are involved, it is almost MANDATORY to have an engineer for its bonus against structures. Also, the UI itself tells you that the engineer receives more damage on combat, so the "you can't denfed yourself very well" shows that the youtuber despite having a lot of hours in the game maybe doesnt know yet the purporse of the class. Play with your team, block the enemy and destroy structures with its bonus.
A thing I think is worthwhile mentioning about the banner is that it can heal "boss classes" like the heir, champion, duke and etc; which I think is an extremely powerful tool to have. I definitely always am thankful when teammates put down banners for me when I'm duke or heir.

I would recommend using the guardian when defending something or attacking slowly. When defending, you can place the banner in a way that they can’t destroy it , and it will heal all your teammates playing the objective
Recently had an amazing game as engineer on defense of course but managed to rally my team to switch to engineer and we made the enemy fight for every square inch of ground so many walls on obj it must of been a living hell for the enemy
Working together with multiple field engineers can really make a difference and can be truly a lot of fun! Unfortunately there is a limit now on how many field engineers can be played

Skirmisher and field engineer could both use some love. Quiver is a very boring ability that basically lets you play on par or worse than a regular archer when you have it. Definitely in favour of your engineer changes! For skirmisher I'd like it if they replaced quiver with something more exciting and/or provided more ammo. I think a cool idea would be a portable ammo box. This would have limited uses and allow you to resupply but also get points for allies using it to get back ammo or bandages :)
I honestly never have ammo problems but I really try and stick close to the boxes so i can just run back and grab more axes. I agree quiver is a huge letdown for the ability though. I'm pretty sure the animation takes longer than just resupplying at the bin.

Watching this, I was a bit disappointed that the ranking was about score point potential. Still useful to see, but I was expecting it to be about contribution to objective play. A perspective that would raise field engineers ranking for example.
Hey Gdrad. As I clearly mentioned in the video, I based the tier list not only on scorepoints but also on the value that a subclass contributes to a team. A single engineer will not turn the tide of a battle given his bad weapons and will in most cases not stop the enemies from advancing for long enough to actually matter since a wall can be destroyed by a single player in ~3 seconds and by a group in less than 1 sec. In contrast to that a player that is decent with the highland sword for example can actually make a significant difference by killing multiple enemies with ease and provide overall more value to a team by doing that. And as I already said in my video, the field engineer really shines when multiple engineers work together. This is when the field engineer can ACTUALLY turn the game around and make a difference. But overall the field engineer unfortunately still belongs into the lowest tier for now.
With todays patch the Highland Sword was nerfed quite heavily and the ambusher got a new weapon (katars), a new perk which enables you to always kill your enemies in meele instead of knocking them down sometimes AND a new special ability! The quiver was replaced with bandage kits! So overall I would place the ambusher in B-Tier now because he can support his team way better with his new special ability and get way more score now. The Devastator on the other hand is still A-Tier in my opinion although the Highland Sword was nerfed because he can still use the Maul, Greatsword and other really good weapons. Also the Highland Sword is STILL viable. Its heavy overhead attacks for example STILL deal 100 dmg and its heavy swings 70 dmg which is not bad for the insane range.
I know this a little old but ambusher being B tier at best is such a crime. I'm fairly new to the game and yet I'm out here carrying with the ambusher. Definitely my favorite class. I was surprised to see it ranked so low.
Honestly, i think some of the latent abilities are better than you think. Engineers should absolutely be rewarded for placing structures, but when they do, it's often the difference between a win and a loss. I often see them spamming spike traps and barricades around objectives, which is absolutely essential. Also, firepot may not score as high as horn, but it's just as game critical because you block off strategic bottlenecks with it. Try getting onto the ships at galencourt when the ramps are enflamed!
haha ive carried games as skirmisher. If youre good with shooting games ( I always play FPS) I will easily top 3 most matches, especially those that have tight choke points. You dont need to aim really, just throw javelins over head height. Plinking people 80+ damage per hit is really helpful for teammates to finish off kills, more so than archers
They should change how the abilities charge. With vanguard you don’t get a lot of opportunities to use the spring attack effectively. Also you should get XP for people attacking your blockades especially as engineer,. I would play engineer more but I feel like there’s not really any personal gain for playing it. I want to help my team but picking the more disadvantaged class in combat should be balanced with some kind of reward.

One good thing about bandage kit that you haven't mentioned is that you can throw it on environmental hazards and it'll trigger it. Also situationally the firebomb is the best ability such as when flushing out a duke hiding in the corner or blocking a narrow route.
Yeah the medkit can be really useful! Especially when healing the top players or the special roles (Duke, Champ etc.) as often as possible. Thanks for watching and commenting!
57-0 with skirmisher, i ended 90% of the time in TO the best player by far in both teams. I spam javelins close to an ammo crate, its extremely OP in TO, in duels of course is weaker. Strongest weapons for me based on my experience, for both duels and TO: Archer: javelin Vanguard: highland sword Man at arms: 2 handed spear Knight: Heavy mace* Second weapon: mace or short sword *Heavy mace is a stamina breaker weapon with a very good damage but for multiple enemies i prefer the GREATSWORD, thats my main weapon and the weapon i used to play since chivalry 1 and mordhau, so with my personal experience i prefer it over heave mace Chivalry 1: 1000h Mordhau: 600h Chivalry 2 (epic): more or less 400h Chivalry 2 (steam): 40h
Im having a ton of fun with the Crusader. Love bein a big bulky bruiser, Messer is a great sword, Morning Stars a fun secondary, oil pot isn’t the best but it’s super satisfying to yuck it in a choke point, and throwing axe kills always satisfy
Skirmisher can be pretty helpful. If you play defense you can flank wall on wall fight, start damaging the enemy and they will 9/10 times will louse their focus on main fight and will be killed, or you can always throw another spear and kill them. Great video tho
Two things that make the Engineer better in TO. First your weapons do extra damage to objects. This includes objectives like doors or what not but also specifically banners. The pickaxe can destroy a banner with two overheads I think, which can be important if the enemy is entrenched somewhere. You do get extra points for hitting objectives harder. Second is Engineers carry things at full speed, this includes objectives such as pigs, bombs etc, but also any random item like bells or logs which means you can pretty much carry an extra throwing weapon with you at all times. A lot of people don't know this and if I manage to slip by with a bomb, they can't catch me so it's a guaranteed plant. That being said I think Engineers should have a second primary, so you can carry both a shovel and a pickaxe for example. It would fit the theme because what sort of engineer would only have one tool on them?

Also lets you be a better archer if you find a stray javelin + resupply or someone elses bow/crossbow, since you get good health, great stamina, and a secondary primary. It's my goto strat on TDM.
I would put engineer in S tier for TO. 2-3 engineers can literally make or break a defense and despite having all the meme weapons (tools?) they all perform well and you can always swap weapons after clearing a few enemies.

Once I started maining Engineer my wins have gone up a lot. They do so many little things that aren't on the scoreboard. I have won entire maps simply from suicide killing catapults over and over. Or destroying enemy engineer walls to clear the way for my team. I've rushed relics on the church map and taken them out quickly while people were distracted. Not to mention on defense covering key structures or blocking off reinforcements. The class is seriously misunderstood and doesn't fit the normal mold.
Ive done amazing while playing skirmisher, but your points about him are 100% painful areas while using the class. Plus, when I play devastator, the skirmisher can't compare to the overall points/kills I acquire
I just strongly disagree with archer and crossbow I agree with the rest of the video but their placements should be higher based on what u said in the video about the other classes and stuff The key thing is, archers can take down those players that carry and make plays with nothing they can do That’s the thing, there is nothing u can do if and archer is targeting u , u can hide but then u don’t play the game So I think archers contribute A LOT Especially crossbow, cause they provide the banner like u said , and it’s good to have a class that can provide the banner and neutralize strong players from a far They are very good to win games and contribute to a team imo Oh and that’s why skirmisher is so trash , cause u can simply block them and make them useless
I agree with you to some extent! An archer that targets the best player of the enemy team can be extremely effective and contribute a lot to the team. However I don't agree that there is nothing the enemy can do, since it happened to me a lot. If the enemy keeps running into groupfights and stays close to other players then the archer will have a hard time hitting him. Also while the archer is aiming for him, he is EXTREMELY vulnerable to other archers, especially archers with war bows who can one shot him. Also switching to a guardian can help a lot because the heavy shield holds off a lot of arrows even without actively blocking since its so huge. Another thing is that holding up your block (no matter with which weapon) will reduce the damage of projectile by 30%. Which also makes the archer less effective since people often block in fights. Another thing why the archer is not in a higher tier is that every subclass above him can also target the top players. Although there is definitely a difference if you target someone with projectiles or in meele combat. So overall i definitely understand your perspective! But having played over 700 hours of TO and judging from my experience the archer simply doesn't belong into a higher tier list since there is a lot of counterplay possible by people being targeted. I really appreciate your well thought out comment and i guess that some of the viewers would also have the same perspective as you!

I just wish the damn arrows were reliable, so many times I shoot at people standing still and nothing, I even see sometimes the arrow hit someone bit it doesn't register, but the controller vibrates as if it did hit them, and I see a floating arrow where it "didn't" hit them, like what trhe hell is that game???

I know this is a video about sub classes and I agree for the most part with it all but in the video there is a clip or you throw a candelabra at the library shelves and it catches fire I never knew that
I totally disagree with the skirmishes so many times have I been first in my team by just recking people with the javelins. So good feeling too to kill them with it.
Yeah getting kills with the javelins can be really satisfying 😁 And although you can be first with the skirmisher If you have good aim and you know what you're doing, it's really hard for most people. That's why the skirmisher is in the lowest tier.
engineer on.. ...last.. ..hum. Yes, barricades dont give scorepoints. But Engineers can win entire games practically by themselves. I dont think they should be that low. Also, shovels are a fucking NIGHTMARE to fight against - they demolish anything they come across once the first hit goes in. ..same with the archers. Aye its harder to do well but does that mean they're a bad class or that you can't aim? ..then again this list *is* about a year out of date. Fun lil sidenote regarding the archers: You aren't just limited to your own team's braziers to light your arrows on fire. You can also use those left behind by enemies if your team pushes past a longbow's perch. And the one thing worse than an Arbalest with fire arrows, is an Arbalest on a horse. All the firepower of that fancy new crossbow, without the drawback of standing still for ages while reloading.
A crossbow seems like it would be a good secondary weapon for an engineer, but the developers really want to limit ranged classes. Maybe make a custom weapon for Engineers called the hand crossbow that has limited range, half the ammo, and does less damage than a regular crossbow.
Skirmisher should be at least B tier. Easily most annoying to fight against as everyone seems to hate playing against them. Javelins can two shot everything, you can pick up if you miss, you have good secondary weapons for close combat and a shield against other projectiles. Easily ton of assists and kills with low death ratio.
I really disagree with Poleman Spear, id put the Polehammer and halbred instead of Halbred and spear. I also disagree with the Jav archer in D tier. You are the ultimate ganker, hitting enemies distracted with ur allies hard and the hits are gauranteed if u wait for them to swing on ur allies. Aim has to be on point for ALL the archer sub classes and Longbowman being C tier because it has a warbow, a level 18 and rarely seen in use weapon(in my experience). Crossbowmen dont even generate alot of Banner charge unless they get headshots so normally if u find a crossbowmen near top, its because the dude is INSANE at getting headshots.

I don't know how many hours of chiv2 you have played yet but pretty much EVERY high lvl player agrees that the spear is a top tier weapon and most even say it's THE BEST weapon for TO. Feel free to ask other high lvl players or watch weapon tier lists on YT. I don't agree that the skirmisher is the ultimate ganker since you have to stay pretty close to the frontline and can't defend yourself well enough if somebody comes for you which will happen really fast if you're just standing there and throwing javelins from the side. Also you're an easy one hit target for war bows when you're trying to gank. And yes, your aim has to be good for every archer sub class but it has to be ESPECIALLY good for skirmishers because of the low amount of total ammunition. Missing is much less forgiving than if you're holding a bow in your hands for example which provides you way more ammunition.
@@FranOfBattle The javelin is not as good as the actual one handed spear. It does 10 dmg less on every type of attack. Also the light shield breaks incredibly fast. On top of that the skirmisher only has 90 HP and only 70 stamina. Which makes defending yourself even harder.
As a crossbow main it pains me to see it so low, on console if you just tap R2 in the general direction of the enemy aim assist does the rest and locks onto anyone in id say a 40 meter range give or take, do that 15 times in a group fight its good for a couple of kills and maybe an angry message. Then when you run outta ammo charge into the heart of the battle and drop the banner, die, and repeat reloading ammo is for the weak
Hey can anyone clarify on how the War Bow works? I read that it oneshots other archers, but I fail to one shot them but they one shot me when using it, what gives? When I shoot a archer in the body, it say 94 +35% or whatever, is that damage? If so, Archers have 90 health, yet they are not dying, wth is going on? It doesn't matter the range, I simply do not 1 shot them
You sometimes don't one shot them because of the "overheal" caused by the special ability "war horn". At 0:46 you can see a green shield with the number "15" close to my HP bar. This means that I had 15 bonus HP (overheal) from a war horn. Archers can get up to 10 HP overheal which will make them survive a bodyshot by a war bow. This is where the brazier comes into play. You will ALWAYS oneshot archers with burning arrows! But keep in mind that they dont die right when you hit them but a couple seconds later because of the dmg over time which the fire causes.

@@xylar9630 the mobility of javelins makes them worth it for me. They are much more dynamic than a war bow or longbow, and can get good vantage by jumping during throws to hit people over the top of your team without having to expose yourself on a vantage point Sometimes my aim is bad but you can just compensate by getting close
@@xylar9630 I have another random question lol. I noticed that when using highland sword is almost impossible to drop block before getting kicked. Even If I succeed and eat the kick non blocked I still cant retaliate at all besides going back to blocking again. This is only an issue against fast weapons with long reach. Any tips?
For some reason I’m most comfortable using the engineer with the shovel in 1v1 servers and I’ve come first a fair few times with it. Man at arms I also like to use with the morning star and mace. Shame these classes aren’t as good in team game modes.

You cab heal thrm with bandage kits too
Also as a crossbowman you can protect the banner with a pavise so the enemy have to properly focus it to stop the incoming healing

One engineer is D Tier. A full roster of engies working together is S Tier and infuriating to go up against.

I’d put skirmisher above ambusher. It’s not uncommon for 85 damage to be a one shot in TO. Ambusher is F tier imo.
132 damage to the head one hit kills vanguards without horn buff.

I'm a devastator through and through. But I normally use the maul due to its massive damage against knights as well as the stamina damage it inflicts
I personally love the MAA. The movement speed with the shield unequipped is unmatched, and that allows for some very effective footwork
Doesn't the vanguard still technically have a faster move speed? 130 vs 110 no?
@@Ghostneedle1 MAA gets 10% bonus speed with 1h weapons, so yes, he's still slower, but he does have quicker weapons

I'm fairly new to the game and yet I'm out here carrying with the ambusher. Definitely my favorite class. I was surprised to see it ranked so low.
Honestly, i think some of the latent abilities are better than you think. Engineers should absolutely be rewarded for placing structures, but when they do, it's often the difference between a win and a loss. I often see them spamming spike traps and barricades around objectives, which is absolutely essential. Also, firepot may not score as high as horn, but it's just as game critical because you block off strategic bottlenecks with it. Try getting onto the ships at galencourt when the ramps are enflamed!

haha ive carried games as skirmisher. If youre good with shooting games ( I always play FPS) I will easily top 3 most matches, especially those that have tight choke points. You dont need to aim really, just throw javelins over head height. Plinking people 80+ damage per hit is really helpful for teammates to finish off kills, more so than archers
skirmisher is the most deadly class if played right, highest skill cap for sure
They should change how the abilities charge. With vanguard you don’t get a lot of opportunities to use the spring attack effectively. Also you should get XP for people attacking your blockades especially as engineer,. I would play engineer more but I feel like there’s not really any personal gain for playing it. I want to help my team but picking the more disadvantaged class in combat should be balanced with some kind of reward.

Thanks a lot! 👍 Yeah I really hope they buff the field engineer soon. There are so many simple ways to make the class more viable like giving him a secondary weapon for example or giving him points when structures get damaged by enemies.
One good thing about bandage kit that you haven't mentioned is that you can throw it on environmental hazards and it'll trigger it. Also situationally the firebomb is the best ability such as when flushing out a duke hiding in the corner or blocking a narrow route.
In certain situations that is definitely true! A well thrown oil pot can hurt the heir/duke A LOT
Tbh I like the medkit the most if Iam playing with friends. It’s just super useful and helps the mates not get to tilted xD

57-0 with skirmisher, i ended 90% of the time in TO the best player by far in both teams. I spam javelins close to an ammo crate, its extremely OP in TO, in duels of course is weaker.
Strongest weapons for me based on my experience, for both duels and TO:
Archer: javelin
Vanguard: highland sword
Man at arms: 2 handed spear
Knight: Heavy mace*
Second weapon: mace or short sword
*Heavy mace is a stamina breaker weapon with a very good damage but for multiple enemies i prefer the GREATSWORD, thats my main weapon and the weapon i used to play since chivalry 1 and mordhau, so with my personal experience i prefer it over heave mace
Chivalry 1: 1000h
Mordhau: 600h
Chivalry 2 (epic): more or less 400h
Chivalry 2 (steam): 40h
Im having a ton of fun with the Crusader. Love bein a big bulky bruiser, Messer is a great sword, Morning Stars a fun secondary, oil pot isn’t the best but it’s super satisfying to yuck it in a choke point, and throwing axe kills always satisfy
Skirmisher can be pretty helpful. If you play defense you can flank wall on wall fight, start damaging the enemy and they will 9/10 times will louse their focus on main fight and will be killed, or you can always throw another spear and kill them. Great video tho
Two things that make the Engineer better in TO. First your weapons do extra damage to objects. This includes objectives like doors or what not but also specifically banners. The pickaxe can destroy a banner with two overheads I think, which can be important if the enemy is entrenched somewhere. You do get extra points for hitting objectives harder.
Second is Engineers carry things at full speed, this includes objectives such as pigs, bombs etc, but also any random item like bells or logs which means you can pretty much carry an extra throwing weapon with you at all times. A lot of people don't know this and if I manage to slip by with a bomb, they can't catch me so it's a guaranteed plant.
That being said I think Engineers should have a second primary, so you can carry both a shovel and a pickaxe for example. It would fit the theme because what sort of engineer would only have one tool on them?
i wish they had a mallet as secondary which can also repair their structures

Raider here 👋 took me about a week to be constant top 3 in objective modes. 50-100 kills are no problem with the 2 main weapons normally
love the field engineer, honestl'y i'm just shocked his walls and/or bear trap don't give him points, that would allow him to get more presence on the scoreboard
You seem to misunderstand the quality of carrying 2 main weapons on the Raider. It allows you to bring 2 Dane axes, which is the best combination.
Also lets you be a better archer if you find a stray javelin + resupply or someone elses bow/crossbow, since you get good health, great stamina, and a secondary primary. It's my goto strat on TDM.
you forgot to mention the man at arms best ability, not having a cooldown on the dodge.
i would personally put the man at arms in A tier.
Man at Arms main, but I didn't know about the damage boosts to ambusher, might give them a fair shot now..
Men at arms with round shield and 1h spear + 1h axe is my viking build
I would put engineer in S tier for TO. 2-3 engineers can literally make or break a defense and despite having all the meme weapons (tools?) they all perform well and you can always swap weapons after clearing a few enemies.

Once I started maining Engineer my wins have gone up a lot. They do so many little things that aren't on the scoreboard. I have won entire maps simply from suicide killing catapults over and over. Or destroying enemy engineer walls to clear the way for my team. I've rushed relics on the church map and taken them out quickly while people were distracted. Not to mention on defense covering key structures or blocking off reinforcements. The class is seriously misunderstood and doesn't fit the normal mold.
Ive done amazing while playing skirmisher, but your points about him are 100% painful areas while using the class. Plus, when I play devastator, the skirmisher can't compare to the overall points/kills I acquire

I agree with you to some extent! An archer that targets the best player of the enemy team can be extremely effective and contribute a lot to the team. However I don't agree that there is nothing the enemy can do, since it happened to me a lot. If the enemy keeps running into groupfights and stays close to other players then the archer will have a hard time hitting him. Also while the archer is aiming for him, he is EXTREMELY vulnerable to other archers, especially archers with war bows who can one shot him. Also switching to a guardian can help a lot because the heavy shield holds off a lot of arrows even without actively blocking since its so huge. Another thing is that holding up your block (no matter with which weapon) will reduce the damage of projectile by 30%. Which also makes the archer less effective since people often block in fights. Another thing why the archer is not in a higher tier is that every subclass above him can also target the top players. Although there is definitely a difference if you target someone with projectiles or in meele combat. So overall i definitely understand your perspective! But having played over 700 hours of TO and judging from my experience the archer simply doesn't belong into a higher tier list since there is a lot of counterplay possible by people being targeted. I really appreciate your well thought out comment and i guess that some of the viewers would also have the same perspective as you!

I just wish the damn arrows were reliable, so many times I shoot at people standing still and nothing, I even see sometimes the arrow hit someone bit it doesn't register, but the controller vibrates as if it did hit them, and I see a floating arrow where it "didn't" hit them, like what trhe hell is that game???

I know this is a video about sub classes and I agree for the most part with it all but in the video there is a clip or you throw a candelabra at the library shelves and it catches fire I never knew that
I totally disagree with the skirmishes so many times have I been first in my team by just recking people with the javelins. So good feeling too to kill them with it.
Yeah getting kills with the javelins can be really satisfying 😁 And although you can be first with the skirmisher If you have good aim and you know what you're doing, it's really hard for most people. That's why the skirmisher is in the lowest tier.

I’ve topped the scoreboard as Man at Arms. Subclasses don’t make the player good. Players make players good.
engineer on.. ...last.. ..hum. Yes, barricades dont give scorepoints. But Engineers can win entire games practically by themselves. I dont think they should be that low.
Also, shovels are a fucking NIGHTMARE to fight against - they demolish anything they come across once the first hit goes in.
..same with the archers. Aye its harder to do well but does that mean they're a bad class or that you can't aim?
..then again this list *is* about a year out of date.
Fun lil sidenote regarding the archers:
You aren't just limited to your own team's braziers to light your arrows on fire. You can also use those left behind by enemies if your team pushes past a longbow's perch.
And the one thing worse than an Arbalest with fire arrows, is an Arbalest on a horse. All the firepower of that fancy new crossbow, without the drawback of standing still for ages while reloading.
A crossbow seems like it would be a good secondary weapon for an engineer, but the developers really want to limit ranged classes. Maybe make a custom weapon for Engineers called the hand crossbow that has limited range, half the ammo, and does less damage than a regular crossbow.
Skirmisher should be at least B tier. Easily most annoying to fight against as everyone seems to hate playing against them. Javelins can two shot everything, you can pick up if you miss, you have good secondary weapons for close combat and a shield against other projectiles. Easily ton of assists and kills with low death ratio.
It's effortless to pick up a better weapon from the battlefield as engie.
I really disagree with Poleman Spear, id put the Polehammer and halbred instead of Halbred and spear.
I also disagree with the Jav archer in D tier. You are the ultimate ganker, hitting enemies distracted with ur allies hard and the hits are gauranteed if u wait for them to swing on ur allies. Aim has to be on point for ALL the archer sub classes and Longbowman being C tier because it has a warbow, a level 18 and rarely seen in use weapon(in my experience).
Crossbowmen dont even generate alot of Banner charge unless they get headshots so normally if u find a crossbowmen near top, its because the dude is INSANE at getting headshots.

I don't know how many hours of chiv2 you have played yet but pretty much EVERY high lvl player agrees that the spear is a top tier weapon and most even say it's THE BEST weapon for TO. Feel free to ask other high lvl players or watch weapon tier lists on YT. I don't agree that the skirmisher is the ultimate ganker since you have to stay pretty close to the frontline and can't defend yourself well enough if somebody comes for you which will happen really fast if you're just standing there and throwing javelins from the side. Also you're an easy one hit target for war bows when you're trying to gank. And yes, your aim has to be good for every archer sub class but it has to be ESPECIALLY good for skirmishers because of the low amount of total ammunition. Missing is much less forgiving than if you're holding a bow in your hands for example which provides you way more ammunition.

You have a free one handed spear and a shield that does 20 damage on jabs...
@@FranOfBattle The javelin is not as good as the actual one handed spear. It does 10 dmg less on every type of attack. Also the light shield breaks incredibly fast. On top of that the skirmisher only has 90 HP and only 70 stamina. Which makes defending yourself even harder.
As a crossbow main it pains me to see it so low, on console if you just tap R2 in the general direction of the enemy aim assist does the rest and locks onto anyone in id say a 40 meter range give or take, do that 15 times in a group fight its good for a couple of kills and maybe an angry message. Then when you run outta ammo charge into the heart of the battle and drop the banner, die, and repeat reloading ammo is for the weak
Hey can anyone clarify on how the War Bow works? I read that it oneshots other archers, but I fail to one shot them but they one shot me when using it, what gives? When I shoot a archer in the body, it say 94 +35% or whatever, is that damage? If so, Archers have 90 health, yet they are not dying, wth is going on? It doesn't matter the range, I simply do not 1 shot them
You sometimes don't one shot them because of the "overheal" caused by the special ability "war horn". At 0:46 you can see a green shield with the number "15" close to my HP bar. This means that I had 15 bonus HP (overheal) from a war horn. Archers can get up to 10 HP overheal which will make them survive a bodyshot by a war bow. This is where the brazier comes into play. You will ALWAYS oneshot archers with burning arrows! But keep in mind that they dont die right when you hit them but a couple seconds later because of the dmg over time which the fire causes.

@@xylar9630 the mobility of javelins makes them worth it for me. They are much more dynamic than a war bow or longbow, and can get good vantage by jumping during throws to hit people over the top of your team without having to expose yourself on a vantage point

@@xylar9630 I have another random question lol. I noticed that when using highland sword is almost impossible to drop block before getting kicked. Even If I succeed and eat the kick non blocked I still cant retaliate at all besides going back to blocking again. This is only an issue against fast weapons with long reach. Any tips?

For some reason I’m most comfortable using the engineer with the shovel in 1v1 servers and I’ve come first a fair few times with it. Man at arms I also like to use with the morning star and mace. Shame these classes aren’t as good in team game modes.

All objectively incorrect information based solely on how many points each class gets. Engineer being a D class should be indication enough that this is all based on opinion and not actual information.

If you would have actually watched my video and not just looked at the tier list then you would also know that i based the tier list not only on scorepoints but also on the value that a subclass contributes to a team. A single engineer will not turn the tide of a battle and will in most cases not stop the enemies from advancing for long enough to actually matter. In contrast to that a player that is really good with the highland sword for example can actually make a significant difference and provide overall more value to a team. And as I already mentioned in my video, the field engineer really shines when multiple engineers work together. This is when the field engineer can ACTUALLY turn the game around and make a difference. Nonetheless I appreciate your comment and hope that you watch the whole video and explanation next time before commenting.
