I love how each episode’s battle scene has a different cinematic gimmick. Ep 1 had the single take real time battle, Ep 2 had the POV of Arc, and now Ep 3 had all of the footage from witnesses, cell phones, news, security cams, etc. I really hope they keep it up, it’s so dang cool.
I wonder what kind of cinematic style they will do next? Maybe a theater style like from some of the past Ultraman shows or even a body cam from the police or something?
The cinematography in ultraman arc is blowing my mind every week, the shot with digelos at 13:42 was incredible! The fight scene with Arc and the tank pov scene were great to cement this kaiju as an absolute monster. I can't wait to see what else this series has to offer
They really captured Zetton's intimidating aura with Digelos here, despite him merely being the first kaiju. Monogelos was really uncanny and weird too

Man, that conversation by Yuma and Shu at the end of the episode is so great, especially when Yuma mentions other coffee flavored drinks and Shu's reaction to it, as well as how Yuma reacted to learning he drinks it black.

It was smart how Yuma used his imagination as Rution/Ultraman Arc said, to curve the Arc Finalize to impale Digelos where it wasn't protected and taking it down.
If this was any other Ultraman, he would've broken the barrier by increasing the output of the Arc Finalize. I'm pleasantly surprised he fought smart instead and made his beam do an arc
Finally, we get the story about Yuma & Rution's encounter. I can't say nothing but amazed about how this story's been told. I actually preferred to have a narration for this kind of flashback, but turns out it's just a dream! And I'm totally okay with that. The dramas, how Yuma lost his parents was kinda moving too. The dialogues was just feels right and the transition! Damn! I really impressed with how Arc--or Yuma utilize his ability to something I never see before! And when Digelos went freeze before blown to pieces, that is just fantastic!!! All in all, really love this episode!!!!
In many Ultraman series, a human is bonded to an Ultra when the Ultra resurrects the human after they have been killed. It could be implied that the falling brickwork killed Yuma, and that his fall through the pond to an upside-down world is a metaphor for being brought back to existence, but it is a bit weird and vague. In other series, there is no question the protagonist gets seriously - sometimes explosively - dead and is restored to life by Ultra Power (and merging with an Ultra). I hope this strangeness is explained more in later episodes - this situation is very dreamlike, and unclear.

Certainly another really enjoyable episode, I can really feel what Ultraman is about. With Yuma being such a clear hero after his backstory. The fight while not as good as the last two episodes it had a lot of cool shots and moments, the tank POV was cool. And it gives me curiosity about why Yuma's creation came to life. Also a flashback within a flashback within a dream.
I think the drawing was after the fight with Monogelos and the drawing that he did would probably be Arcs memory. Im saying this because when they showed Yuma's drawings when he was kid it only showed until the blue armor. Maybe there was more in the book but they didnt show us yet.

Digelos resembles a lot like Zetton, and he looks more like a space dinosaur. Mainly, there's no way Yuma made up Arc himself. The Giant of Light must have come from somewhere in deep space. I wonder why he said, "your thoughts are my power". I've never seen an Ultraman bend his finisher beam like a whip before. That was ultra-cool.
This episode was incredible. And brutal as hell. I loved it. While the final battle is really well done, my favorite part has to be at 13:36, where the Kaiju absolutely LEVELS the area around it in a haunting wideshot
At the time of their first contact, Rution did not unite with Yuma himself, but with Yuma's father, and it seems that he has been watching over Yuma from another dimension ever since. In other words, Yuma's transformation is not a "Haruki / Z" type, but an "Asuka / Dyna" type? And if Rution united with Yuma's father and mother at the same time, then at that point it could be said to be a "Hokuto & Minami / A" type.
Notic how most heroes end up losing their parents in a tragic event I mean I understand they need a reason to becomes heroes but that's quite trauma that haunts them

Arc seems to have come from Yumas imagination I think I guessed the plot of this, The main villain is probably an emo guy who also uses his imagination ultraman hasnt really had a complicated story since nexus so this is honestly a good guess
@@chaoserror3156 idk it's unlikely they'll introduce a main human villain if they don't do it in ep 1, unless they pull an Agams again. The Oo-ze parasites are the most likely candidate for main antagonist rn. But I could see it happening for the episode featuring King of Mons' return, since he was originally born from some kid's imagination as well. My guess for the main plot is something similar to 80's Minus Energy kaijus or Nexus' Space Beasts, where the dark side of human imagination is causing kaijus to appear. The Monohorn probably reacts to negative emotions and uses it to awaken/create/summon kaijus. The Gelos kaijus are definitely minions to the main villain, and we can expect a Trigelos to show up at some point As for where the Oo-ze factor into this, two options are equally likely. They could either be the main villains themselves, or they could be mere scouts for the unseen invading force, who parasitise Earth life forms to gain intel/feed on their emotions
Seems more like Arc is _powered_ by his imagination, tapping into it to gain a more stable form. Though it's also likely they are merged if Arc pulled the classic Ultra move of choosing a human host to save him from a terminal wound.

However, it's pretty unlikely imo because a) if there is a human villain, usually they're introduced in the promos (unless they pull an Agams again), and b) the plotline has been done way too many times: - Gyango, a monster born from a wishing stone responding to a thief's evil wishes - Garan, a Choju an unstable mangaka can summon and control through drawing - King of Mons and his spawn, which are basically kaiju OCs of a trio of elementary school bullies brought to life - Snake Darkness, the edgy kaiju OC of a bitter shut-in that Tregear manifested in the real world - Nearly every kaiju from Denkou Choujin Gridman and SSSS Gridman is created by an edgy, hateful high-schooler So, it's predictable if they go this route for Arc's main plot. But I could see your idea being the plot for an episode of Arc, precisely because we've gotten so many kaijus born from the dark side of human imagination. Heck, one of the examples I gave is almost 100% confirmed to return, so his episode might go that route as a nod to his origins

This Ultraman Arc and Trigger is probably my fovorite amongs ultras in new generation. I love the design and the character.
Looks like more Zetton-like/similarities. Yellow shape on face, mitten-like hands, black skin and squarish barrier.

I really like Arc's BG transformation lights, that kaleidoscope like effect. It reminds me of classic transformation BGs but much improved!
Yuma's backstory monologue made me emotional, the English VA made a really great job!!! This English dub's so good!!!

Digelos resembles a lot like Zetton, and he looks more like a space dinosaur. Mainly, there's no way Yuma made up Arc himself. The Giant of Light must have come from somewhere in deep space. I wonder why he said, "your thoughts are my power". I've never seen an Ultraman bend his finisher beam like a whip before. That was ultra-cool.

This episode was incredible. And brutal as hell. I loved it.
While the final battle is really well done, my favorite part has to be at 13:36, where the Kaiju absolutely LEVELS the area around it in a haunting wideshot
Does anybody feel dejavu because Arc while still glowing gave the protagonist its power gave an aura of Zordon and the original power ranger

ultraman hasnt really had a complicated story since nexus so this is honestly a good guess
@@chaoserror3156 idk it's unlikely they'll introduce a main human villain if they don't do it in ep 1, unless they pull an Agams again. The Oo-ze parasites are the most likely candidate for main antagonist rn. But I could see it happening for the episode featuring King of Mons' return, since he was originally born from some kid's imagination as well.
My guess for the main plot is something similar to 80's Minus Energy kaijus or Nexus' Space Beasts, where the dark side of human imagination is causing kaijus to appear. The Monohorn probably reacts to negative emotions and uses it to awaken/create/summon kaijus. The Gelos kaijus are definitely minions to the main villain, and we can expect a Trigelos to show up at some point
As for where the Oo-ze factor into this, two options are equally likely. They could either be the main villains themselves, or they could be mere scouts for the unseen invading force, who parasitise Earth life forms to gain intel/feed on their emotions
Seems more like Arc is _powered_ by his imagination, tapping into it to gain a more stable form.
Though it's also likely they are merged if Arc pulled the classic Ultra move of choosing a human host to save him from a terminal wound.

And what evidence do u have it isnt going to be that? Ultraman is targeted at kids so it makes alot of sense, I know it probably wont be but with the theme of "imagination" then it seems pretty reasonable
@@chaoserror3156 I'll defend your guess a little and say it's a reasonable direction to take. However, it's pretty unlikely imo because a) if there is a human villain, usually they're introduced in the promos (unless they pull an Agams again), and b) the plotline has been done way too many times:
- Gyango, a monster born from a wishing stone responding to a thief's evil wishes
- Garan, a Choju an unstable mangaka can summon and control through drawing
- King of Mons and his spawn, which are basically kaiju OCs of a trio of elementary school bullies brought to life
- Snake Darkness, the edgy kaiju OC of a bitter shut-in that Tregear manifested in the real world
- Nearly every kaiju from Denkou Choujin Gridman and SSSS Gridman is created by an edgy, hateful high-schooler
So, it's predictable if they go this route for Arc's main plot. But I could see your idea being the plot for an episode of Arc, precisely because we've gotten so many kaijus born from the dark side of human imagination. Heck, one of the examples I gave is almost 100% confirmed to return, so his episode might go that route as a nod to his origins

Based on episode 1 and 3, his last transformation are 3 months ago, what happen during this 3 month timespan? Are the monster stop appears or weak enough to be defeated by jsdf so transformation isn't necessary.

As of the third episode, Yuma is the only person who knows that the Transformation Device exists in reality. Therefore, for Grandma, the drawing of the Transformation Device has no connection to the real world.
