- Recipe for a (yummy) time lapse video:
Ingredients:
Combine a mystical island that has volcanoes with beautiful lava flow formations, ocean, and spectacular landscapes with a few palms, tiny white houses and the right cloudy weather. Now add a few beams and rays of sunshine with just a little bit of wind and use two motorized DIY sliders with camcorder and still photo cameras on tripods. Sacrifice 3 weeks of rare spare time to capture the amazing scenes and another two full weeks to input all the data into the computer and to edit, and voila, you get a great video!
Enjoy the delicious taste!

Combine una isla mística que tiene volcanes con hermosas formaciones de lava, mar, paisajes espectaculares con palmeras pocas, pequeñas casas blancas y el clima soleado perfecto.
Ahora añade unos cuantos rayos de sol con un poco de viento y el uso de dos reguladores de bricolaje con cámara de vídeo y cámaras de foto fija de los trípodes.
Sacrifica tres semanas de tiempo libre para capturar las escenas sorprendentes y otras dos semanas enteras para introducir todos los datos en el ordenador y editar, y voilà, se obtiene un gran vídeo.

In the next few months i will present a new and much better video about Lanzarote. Actual a composer is still working on the music for this video which was shoot entirely at night and is called "Lanzarote-mi amor / Vive la noche!"

Caldera Blanca is so fantastic
Yes, the Caldera Blanca is a really unique place.
Perhaps 3 years ago i have experienced on top of the Caldera Blanca at night a really bad thunderstorm and there was no possibility to climb down in the darkness and not a tiny bit of wind shade to protect me against the wind gusts and the rain. Unfortunately i could not use the time lapses from my 2 Nikons because the wind had moved the tripods a few times which was already loaded with stones to make them as heavy as possible. Last November i have seen the Caldera so green like never before because in Oktober it was raining a lot.
you must have put a lot of work into this. It really is a labour of love, well done!
Thanks a lot ARyan for your nice comment. It was alone 3 crazy weeks on Lanzarote to get all the footage and later at home I run into problems with the computer and had a few crashes of the computer because of the immense data. Fortunately I could finish the project and it was worth all this work if I can read such comments like yours. Greetings Denis

Magnífico trabajo el de los time lapses . Desde luego no es nada fácil hacer este tipo de trabajos . Yo estoy inmerso en un proyecto también de este estilo y es muy laborioso ,pero si el resultado es bueno como tu trabajo ,es muy reconfortable. Tienes pensado subir pronto otro time lapse nocturno desde Lanzarote?? estoy deseando verlo jeje.

Fabuloso. Y se agradece que haya evitado sacar en el vídeo algunos de los elementos que nos avergüenzan a los lanzaroteños (al menos a quienes no nos hemos enriquecido con tales cosas).
Aunque, bien pensado, a lo mejor podría hacer otro vídeo similar con dichos elementos, a modo de contraste-denuncia.
En cualquier caso, gracias por las imágenes.

Beautiful... the best vid I've seen on Lanzarote. I'm going in a week, taking my GoPro, if I get a timelapse sequence that even approaches this I'll be happy, well done.
Thank you Andy Ballard for your nice comment. In a few weeks i hope to present my newest "baby"- a night time lapse from Lanzarote with very uncommon views. Actual a composer is working on the score for this video because i couldn't get a license for a certain soundtrack from Michael McCann for this video where i was shooting in last November 4 full weeks every night my time lapses for this video.

Hallo Herr Schwarz, da ist etwas Wahres dran an den ziehenden Wolken ;-). Die Insel ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Da gibt es so viele unbekannte, wunderschöne Plätze, die kaum jemand kennt. Selbst Einheimische schütteln oft den Kopf, wenn man sie nach bestimmten Orten fragt.
I hope you can get supourt fot your next project. It Is sad that local goverment does not help something like this. I think is very best than official videos that you can see in youtube :(

Since more than 2 years i am planning now on a new and much more spectacular video about this volcanic island. Unfortunately i don't know the right people there and have no connections to the Lanzarote government or the board of tourism to get the necessary permissions for some really crazy scenes i have playing permanently in my head. I can only hope to get this problem solved in the near future to make this project come true.
@aliseosolutions The video is not made from photos! All scenes are made with help of a Canon HV30 camcorder on a very slow working DIY slider. The only exception is the last scene which is made from still pictures. During daytime it isn't necessary to sync the slider and the cam if the slider is slow enough.
At night you will need a shoot-move-shoot mode.
Google for "Dynamic Perception" a system which is able to shoot in this mode and is actual the cheapest system on the market.

También me gustaría terminar rápidamente el nuevo video. El nuevo video que también significativamente mejor que todo otros vídeos me! Es una calidad completamente nueva i lleva mucho mucho tiempo. Por lo tanto, se dispara otra vez algunas escenas. El ano pasado el tiempo era muy malo con nubes muy muchos lamentablemente en abril y junio en las noches. Estrellas no fueron vistas casi nunca. Por desgracia, no resides en Lanzarote. Pero sé muy bien la isla. Por desgracia. hablo solo un poco español, porque soy realmente todo el tiempo justo para tomar fotografías. Sacrificará casi mis ratos todo por el lapso de tiempo! Los resultados son realmente vale la pena. Esta loco-mucho mucho trabajo sin pago.

Danke für das Lob. Ich würde das Video heute aber deutlich "langsamer" schneiden und bei einigen Szenen auch etwas länger verweilen. Es ist doch ein wenig "nervös" geschnitten.
Roger Subirana Mata verdient in meinen Augen deutlich mehr Aufmerksamkeit, da er wunderschöne Musik schreibt, die für Soundtracks wirklich ideal ist.

Lanzarote has so many amazing spots that it is quite impossible to show them all in a single short video. Love Famara beach in the evening. Unfortunately is there at night so much light pollution that i have decided to use again no shots from Famara in my next, a much more extreme video about Lanzarote, which shows only night shots. So stay tuned and have a look from time to time on my TH-cam account ;-)!

@Zyrill22 For the video i've "exposed" 102 hours on video tape. This was a two week full time job with 12 to 16 hours per day and later i had to read in all those tapes into my computer which took close to another 2 weeks. Editing was 6 weeks because of 3 bad computer crashes because the system was overload with nearly 50 hours of video for a 4:22 minute video. Today i would change a lot and edit the video much slower.

Por desgracia los gastos son bastante altos para mis proyectos, dado que tengo con esto siempre muchísimo equipaje. Por eso tampoco puedo venir tan a menudo después de Lanzarote. Eddythemadmechanic klar das verstehe ich! Meistens gebe ich dem Filmemacher eine Schreiben - so ist er GEMA oder Suisa befreit. Falls es kommerziell genutzt wird, verlange ich klar eine kleine Gebühr.
Für Privatzwecke, wenn mir das Projekt gefällt, gebe ich oft die Musik frei. LG Paul
skyway22 Das ist auch mehr als fair. Für kommerziellen Gebrauch finde ich eine finanzielle Vergütung auch angebracht. Schließlich hat der Komponist auch einiges an Zeit und Herzblut in sein Musikstück investiert und gute Computer und Zubehör kosten auch richtig Geld. Leider sind meine Videos mittlerweile schon sehr speziell und ich kann und will nicht eine beliebige Musik dafür verwenden, auch wenn sie vielleicht nichts kostet. Schließlich steht und fällt das gesamte Video mit der Musik und die ist also fast wichtiger als das Bildmaterial selbst, auch wenn dieses exzellent sein sollte. Nur als Ganzes entfaltet ein Video seine "Magie". Würde mir gern mal Ihre CD von 1993 anhören. Vielleicht gibt es ja doch eine Zusammenarbeit!? Liebe Grüße

Al juez que se encargaba de la investigación lo mandaron a mudar... pero claro, tú que vas a saber, si pasas de política. Y te vuelvo a repetir, el hecho de que los Honorio, Reyes y compañía declararan un sueldo como urbanizable no hace que la golfada lo sea menos. Nos han robado a todos para enriquecer a unos pocos empresarios.
@25andresillo Lo que muestra el vídeo es lo poco que va quedando virgen por culpa de gente como tú. 35 hoteles no son 4, y el hecho de que se han construido sobre parcelas turísticas no significa nada, ¿quienes declaran esas parcelas turísticas o un terreno cualquiera como urbanizable? los políticos. Esos políticos golfos y ladrones a los que tú probablemente votarás, si es que no eres uno de ellos. A mí el turismo me la trae floja, me interesa más que la isla conserve su belleza.

Gracias Gustavo Medina por el comentario agradable. "Lanzarote-mi amor" este es mi primer trabajo con time lapse. Para personalizar el lapso de tiempo puede ser adictivo ;-). Estoy trabajando en un nuevo video de Lanzarote durante 3 anos. Muestra solo fotos nocturnas! Lamentablemente puedo no vuelvo esto ano a Lanzarote. Asi es la versión final todavía un poco es necesario. Te puedo decir uno-se muestran unas vistas bastante espectaculares de Lanzarote.
