Good review, exactly what I expected from these shoes. I own a pair already and si am wearing them daily to go out so I can tell how comfy they are and well constructed. Unfortunately even from wearing them and not skating in them they kinda give the feel of shoes that would rip apart quickly. I did not expect the outsole to get a hole in after only 5 weeks, I ve recently skated some Lakai Atlantic and really liked them but after roughly 6 weeks of skating almost every day I put a hole in the outsole. For now am gonna stick to the Ishod for going out and my Lakai Telford for skating (I already skated a few pairs and the outsole would last me some 2 months). I will skate the Ishod eventually as they are definitely in the top 10 of the most comfy skate shoes I ever skated but before ai skate them I’m gonna wait for them to go on discounted somewhere so I can buy another pair for a decent price and not feel too guilty about skating rbem
I have been pleasantly surprised with the durability of Lakai outsoles also. I skated the Lakai Daly's with the capsule construction, the tread is so deep, I got so much life out of them before the wore out. I would say they lasted maybe 1.5 to 2x the time compared to vans outsoles.
If Nike or Ishod sees your video, they will make the second shoe perfect. One Hell of a performance review. I truly enjoy seeing the wear that serious skaters put on these, in a short amount of time. Used to watch a middle school associate that skates, run through Vans after a week just like this back in the 90’s. Very interesting stuff.
Great review! I haven't seen the sole of a shoe blow out that bad in a long time! Preemptively, I always put super glue on the weak points of my laces and it will often make the laces last the whole life of the shoe.
yeah some sort of glue on the laces is unfortunately a must-do for me, I say unfortunately because I hate ruining the look of new skate shoes. wish more companies would come up with unbreakable laces like the one guy on YT who sells them online, too bad they don t come to where I live.
Yeah these were definitely great shoes to wear super comfortable but that pointy toe I could not do much in them and ripped the top two laces in the first session and the side blew out pretty fast so I did the same and went back to my Nike Force 58
I love em and they would be my favorite skate shoe ever if they were little wider so I dont have to break them in :/ but man they are so comfy and skate so good 🤌🏼😩 I would like to see high top ones of Ishods
i just went on nike a few days ago and saw a restock of force 58 in royal blue all blue , i ordered two pairs for myself , the forces are getting into reseller hands so i had to make sure i got them
Just received the shoes in the white/beige colorway which I really like. A bit hesitant about the mesh, cause I seem to heelflippen from that area, and why I disliked the vans ave's. My current favorite skate shoe is the etnies veer with the Michelin outsole. A real cupsole shoe but quite slim. Definitely durable.
I got a lot of compliments the 2 days I wore mine! Unfortunately I had to return mine cause qc was really bad and I felt like they scrunched the heck out of my foot, and I rolled my ankle twice because there's not much of a stiff collar around the ankle at all. My FPAR Dunk Highs I've been skating in my vids I just barely put a hole in the bottom 6 months later. I think it's so interesting which areas and which materials wear on a shoe, we're like scientists with our feet!
This react insoles are what I have been waiting for SB to have as well as they make wider skate shoes now. It’s a super comfy shoe I just have been in the mood for something a bit thinner. Yo@Joe don’t be sleeping on Andy Anderson.
SB Dunks are still the best built skate shoes. the bottoms dont wear down and the suede is great. i was looking at these and have changed my mind and not going to buy them. thanks for this video.
Man I really want to get a pair but they are all sold out everywhere. My local skate shop gets them but unfortunately I am a size 13 so its hard to get my size. Hopefully when they restock on the Nike app I will snag them in time. I'm a big Ishod fan but I don't think that's a driving factor in me wanting these shoes, I think the style of this shoe is awesome, and hearing what everyone is saying about them. I need to try them.
They're on sale now on the nike site with an extra 25% off. I just picked up a pair for $55 I tried on a 13 but they were way too narrow so I ordered a 14. I've been wearing the tyshawns in a 13 and they're great
@@chrisnoel1864 damn lol i was hoping not i really wanted to give them a chance. Even all of the methods to make them fit better still probably wouldnt be enough to make me wear them as much as Id like to. Ill just stick to the tyshawns appreciate it they are only 55 rn tho 😔😏😈
I skated a pair and didn’t have any problems with the flick and how long they lasted. Everyone flicks different, I flick more on the top of the toe and you look like you flick really low on your toe.
I do the same thing, my flick comes more from the top, which is why cupsoles work so much better for me, because I get a lot of response from that toe cap area, which is why when I switched to the Shane O’Neil shoes it was a very hard transition for me, because that shoe is so low profile and has no toe cap, even now that I’m comfortable with the shoe I still has to constantly adjust that
dude im telling you, try some tyshawn mids next and compare both feel and durability. the mids skate way better than the lows, and i know what you said about midtops but they cup under your ankle like a low top , theyre far below the ankle bone so you dont get that affect of a blazer mid or a skate high.
Yo Joe, I'm from the UK and I've only just got my hands on the premium pair, I got size 9 because thats what size I am but I got hellllla room by my toes 🤣 do you think I should get size 8.5 next?
I got a pair myself and i can say that i love the stability und flexibility that comes with the shoes.🔥 BUT! ☹️ I skated them for like 3 weeks and they already began to fall apart on my flick foot… Good shoes bur not worth a 100$
@@frankie3351 The first 2 colorways had the sizing issue, but after that they were true to size. I haven’t had the OGs but I have had accel slims. Rocking same size in Quattro now. Nike shoes arnt meant for skateboarding, if you want a shoe that will last you longer and is actually built to skateboard in then check out ES, Globe or DVS shoes.. Puffy shoes are the way to go....

Agree on all of them except superstars. The toe lasts forever but I got an ollie hole in less than a week. If the suede lasted longer I'd buy them again tho

These shoes feel like a dunk mixed with a blazer! The are amazing shoes!! Don’t regret buying them!
Yeah, I LOVE the Nike SB dunk Low's but they have gotten so expensive, like 4-500 a pair expensive. I found these on CCS and decided to buy them.
